The house
Enjoyment in style! On our mountain (330m) on the Vallee du Lot (the Tuscany of France) you can have a wonderful holiday with us in this stylish stone home with phenomenal views. The house dates to 1830 but has been renovated for 2-10 persons with all the modern conveniences of today but still maintaining many authentic elements like the old bread oven, sinks & fireplaces. The walls are 60-80 cm. thick so it stays pretty cool in summer. The large living room is quite characteristic with its beamed ceiling and fireplace. The kitchen is spacious and has all modern appliances in it for easy gourmet cooking. Of course there is also a barbecue. One of the four bedrooms has an original open fireplace that makes this warm room especially cosy and romantic; fall asleep by firelight and awake to the lovely French sunrise light creeping through the shutters. Enjoy your private swimming pool just behind your house.
Downstairs: big living room with fireplace, complete kitchen, bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, furnished terrace. Upstairs: one bedroom with 3 twin beds (which can be moved around). The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed. A third bedroom has a double bed and fireplace and lastly another bedroom with a double bed and woodstove. Also there’s a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

The house stands together on 15 hectares of private land with our home. This undeveloped nature area with fabulous woods gives home to a variety of wild animals and offers a place for taking surprisingly nice meditative walks. This oasis of rest is just 5 kilometres from Cajarc, a cosy touristy but very French village with small business, bars, restaurants & terraces. In short, for those looking for quiet, space and nature, come and enjoy the sunny climate of Southern France with us.

Erg mooi huis op een schitterende locatie! Het ligt midden in de natuur, heerlijk rustig met echt geweldig uitzicht over het fijne zwembad. Het huis is luxe en comfortabel en we hebben heerlijk geslapen in goede bedden. Alles was ook heel schoon. Op 10 min van Cajarc, een gezellig, authentiek frans, bruisend dorp met vele terrasjes en restaurantjes. Het huis was echt zoals beschreven in de advertentie. Alles zeer privé, maar Annemarie en Gerard zijn er als je ze nodig hebt, heel vriendelijk en attent. We hebben alweer geboekt voor volgend jaar, we hebben nog zoveel niet gezien in de omgeving!

We (gezin met 4 volassen kinderen) zijn net terug van een heerlijke week Mas de Bouriou. Romantisch huis in een prachtige rustige omgeving. Mooi terras en zwembad en een leuk dorp (Cajarc) op 10 minuten rijden.. In de omgeving is er veel te zien en doen (dorpsfeesten, wandelen, dolmen, grotten, tennis). En voor de vogelaars zijn er rondom het huis: nachtzwaluwen, oehoe, hoppen, patrijzen, orpheusspotvogels, zwarte roodstaarten, cirlgorzen, zwarte wouwen, Europese kanaries, Provençaalse grasmussen, etc.. Maar de grootste plus zijn misschien nog wel de hosts Annemarie en Gerard. Superaardig, gezellig en heel erg rekening houdend met je wensen. Top!

Een hele fijne plek wanneer je van rust en ruimte houdt. Een huis op een heuvel met uitzicht aan alle kanten. Rode wouwen zien vanaf het terras, een heel fijn zwembad en een mooie fietsregio.

From a culinary point of view, this region is highly praised. It is the area most known for the world famous Cahors wine, the Canard and the Foie Gras. The French are known for enjoying themselves, even more so here in the Vallee du Lot.
