The house
Well-located detached holiday home (max. 6 people) in the charming village of Calvignac, located in the beautiful Lot Valley. The Lot region still retains its charm and authentic character. The house is free in a rural setting with the Lot River at the bottom of the hill, with various pleasant and accessible swimming spots.
In addition, there are many beautiful walking routes and picturesque villages with nice (food) markets and many restaurants in the area.
The house is well equipped with a fully equipped kitchen including a combi oven, Dolce Gusto, bread maker, dishwasher etc. Furthermore, a spacious dining table for 6 people, a sofa with TV and a woodburner. The spacious bathroom has a shower, bath and double sink and washing machine. Outside there are various seating areas on the terrace, a nice place in the sun or in the shade for every moment of the day. And with a small hectare of land there is more than enough room for the necessary privacy or space for kids to play.
There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are smaller rooms with two beds of 200 x 80 cm each and (which can be joined together) and a masterbedroom with a double bed of 1.60 x 2.00 m.
Bed linen and towels are provided.

Zeer rustig gelegen gite op ongeveer 800 meter boven Calvignac. Ruime woon/eetkamer met grote open keuken waarin niets ontbreekt. In het zitgedeelte 1 bank voor de TV (met HDMI aansluiting voor eventueel chromecast, zelf meenemen) en houtkachel. Er staan 6 stoelen rond de eettafel. Badkamer: deze is beneden en bevat een douche, toilet ,wastafel en bad. Slapen doe je boven, te bereiken met een houten trap. Er is één kamer met een goed twee persoons bed. Verder zijn er twee kleine kamers met ieder 2, één-persoons bedden. Je slaapt onder de nok en het kan er behoorlijk warm worden. Er kunnen genoeg ramen open en er zijn ventilatoren in iedere kamer. Boven is geen toilet aanwezig. Rondom betonnen terras met 3 zitjes er is altijd plek in schaduw of zon te vinden.
De gite heeft een tuin van ongeveer 1 ha. Er staan vooral eiken bomen. Voor boodschappen moet je naar Cajarc, 11 km verderop. Voor twee personen een prima gite als je van rust houdt en het geen bezwaar vindt om voor de boodschappen een stukje te rijden. Excellent séjour dans cette maison très jolie, bien aménagée et très bien équipée. Grand jardin agréable, literie confortable, rien ne manque ! Superbes villages et points de vue aux alentours.

Een heerlijk en compleet huis in een mooie en rustige omgeving. We hebben een heerlijk week gehad en het huis is een fijn startpunt om de omgeving te verkennen. Alles was ook prima geregeld in overleg met de eigenaren!
Restaurants, food & wine
In the surroundings there are several good restaurants, from regional specialties to more modern cuisine. There are also many marche gourmandes in the area in the summer where you can enjoy many food trucks with the local people. The normal markets are also always nice and tasty. In the area of Cahors there are many wineries and chateaux to visit, the best known often by appointment. Most cities have several festivals with music and good food & wine.
Activities
There are many different beautiful walking routes in the area. In addition, our house is close to the River Lot, where you can enjoy swimming, canoeing and fishing. It's only 5 minutes down the hill. Renting a boat is also possible in the area. There are many beautiful small villages in the area such as Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Villefranche, Figeac and Cahors. You are also in the right place for a day at the various wineries. Certainly in the area of Cahors you can visit many special wineries.
There are also more than enough good restaurants in the area.
