The house
NEW GITE from March 2017. This gite is built as a barn conversion and located on a small, rustic campsite (three fields). The gite is spacious and has a balcony on both sides. From both balconies you have breathtaking views. You also have the use of a parking space and a 200m2 large lawn.
Large living room with wood burner with open kitchen, dishwasher, oven and microwave oven. Spacious bedroom with double box spring bed (160x200) with adjacent a walk in cupboard/storage room and large bathroom with WC. The second bedroom had two single box spring beds. (90x200)
Of course you are welcome to use all the facilities of the campsite.
Since 2015 we have a heated pool measuring 7x14 m which was enjoyed by young (wide steps) and old ( up to2m deep) during our first season. Recreational lake " Lac du Tolerate (38ha) is located at walking distance from domaine Les Teuillères. It has a sand beach with play garden and you can use the lake for swimming, fishing , canoeing, boating and paddle boating. There is supervision in July and August and many activities are organised such as archery, pony riding, disc golf, volleybal, football, rugby, rowing, skittles and aqua gym. Domaine "Les Teuillères" is located in the heart of the "Jardin du Ségala", a part of the Quercy region in department Lot, close to the Dordogne. Around our old country house with chambre d'hôtes are three camping fields and two unique gites.
Unspoilt nature with forests, deep valleys, rock formations alternated with rolling hills. Peace and quiet, space, magnificent panoramas, caves, castles, many lively markets, flea market and festivals, culture and good food. A beautiful lake of 38 ha within walking distance.

Lizeth had ons ondergebracht in de Porcherie, een comfortabel huisje op het mooie landelijk gelegen terrein van het Domaine Les Teuilleres. Een warm onthaal, letterlijk en figuurlijk: de houtkachel brandde en Lizeth had heerlijk voor ons gekookt. We hebben genoten van prachtige wandelingen met de hond. De natuur is misschien wel op z'n mooist in de herfst, wat een kleurenpracht! En we bezochten verschillende middeleeuwse stadjes. Zeer aan te bevelen om hier in november te verblijven! Nauwelijks toeristen en toch nog veel te doen en te zien.

Dit is een geweldige plek wanneer je op zoek bent naar rust, ruimte, uitzicht, kleinschaligheid en gezelligheid. De gite is groot en van alle gemakken voorzien. Je hebt zowel voor als achter een balkon tot beschikking maar ook beneden nog een tuintje met een lounge set, dus altijd wel een plek waar je lekker kan zitten en genieten van omgeving. Wekelijks zijn er hamburger en pizza avonden waar de gasten aan kunnen deelnemen onder genot van een drankje. We zijn hier nu 3 keer geweest en hebben hele gezellige avonden gehad. Verder is er een zwembad, speeltuintje, trampoline en jeu de boulles terrein waar zover ik weet zomers wedstrijden worden georganiseerd. Lizeth, de gastvrouw, doet alles wat mogelijk is om het naar je zin te maken. Alle keren hadden we geboekt voor een week maar paar dagen bij geboekt omdat we gewoon niet weg wilde. De omgeving is ook prachtig om leuke tochten te maken en omgeving door schattige historische plaatsjes. Echt een aanrader om hier vakantie te vieren. Of het nu in 1 van de gites is of op de camping. In laatste geval hebben alle plekken veel ruimte en uitzicht.

Een magisch mooie en heerlijke plek! We hebben hier als gezin met 2 zoons (9 en 14) echt fantastisch gehad. We hadden ons al voorbereid op een mooie plek, maar onze verwachting werd nog overtroffen zelfs. "Wow is dit allemaal van ons" dachten we toen we onze mooie stenen gite zagen. Een prachtig ruim balkon met weids uitzicht over de glooiende heuvels en handig uitzicht op de jeu de boules baan, zwembad, pingpongtafel enz. Maar daaromheen nog een heel stuk tuin en groen dat ook bij ons huisje hoorde. Heel weids en ruim en alles toch dichtbij. Het huis is erg ruim, sfeervol ingericht en heeft de nieuwste apparatuur. Er zijn wat gezellige activiteiten (pizza en hamburger avond, en jeu de boules toernooi). Precies gezellig, maar geen luidruchtige animatie. En vooral veel ruimte ook voor rust en privacy. Voor ons een heel fijne balans. Zo ook het contact met de eigenaren, in het bijzonder Lizeth. Het contact is warm en persoonlijk. Ze is oprecht geïnteresseerd en wil je echt een fijn verblijf bezorgen. Zonder dat het een moment opdringerig wordt. Precies de goede balans. Maar de allergrootste plus van deze heerlijke plek is echt de ligging. Tijdens de avondjes op het terras lijkt het uitzicht praktisch een schilderij met bos en meer in de verte, en naast de camping een mooie weide met grazende koeien. Voor ons een unicum, maar we gaan volgend jaar weer!
Restaurants, food & wine
In high season we regularly bake pizzas in our wood oven. We also do French fires, frikandels and home made croquettes. Plus we have a delicious hamburger (steak hachée) bun on our menu. There are two restaurants at less than two kilometres. One of them is at the lakeside, with outside terrace and open five nights a week in July and August. Sousceyrac also has restaurants of which one is Michelin star rated. We also recommend you to go to a 'marché gourmand', just bring a plate and cutlery and join locals at the table. There are several village parties where you have delicious meals against a small fee.
Cahor has its annual wine festival where you buy a glass and then you can sample all the different wines.
Activities
We regularly organise a jeu de boules contest and a campfire is often provided by parents and children.

Further remarks
The gîte at our campsite is ideal for families with children of any age. There is a playground for the little ones with a swing, sandbox and playhouse. For the youngsters, there are table tennis tables, a trampoline, a boules court and a sports field for football, volleyball and badminton. Of course campfires are regularly built.
In July 2015 the have started using our new heated pool.

There is supervision in July and August and many activities are organised such as archery, pony riding, disc golf, volleybal, football, rugby, rowing, skittles and aqua gym. Several paths/routes for walking or running start from our property. There is also a cycling route that runs just outside our domaine and 2km further you can join a VTT route.
