The Lot borders on the Dordogne but is a lot quieter. You will find authentic picturesque villages, castles, small rivers and you can enjoy the unspoilt wooded area with beautiful views. Not to be missed is a visit to one of the weekly markets e.g. in Cahor, Gourdon or Cazals. You will find many local products on offer.
Cahor has the famous Pont Valentré, a medieval fortified bridge crossing the Lot river, the Saint-Étienne cathedral, a monumental building, made up of various parts from different periods of time. In the centre of Cahors you can enjoy the shops and terraces.
Rocamadour, a medieval pilgrimage town which seems to be 'stuck' against the mountains, is certainly worth a visit. Or the towns St. Cirq-Lapopie, Meyronne and Carennac.
In Les Arques (about 10 km) you will find the Zadkine Museum with beautiful bronze statues and the work of various artists throughout the village.
Catus (5 km) has a nice recreational lake with a beach.

Hele fijne vakantiewoning! Goede bedden, luxe badkamers, zeer compleet ingerichte keuken, groot overdekt terras zodat je eigenlijk altijd buiten kunt zitten (ook bij minder mooi weer). Heerlijk zwembad met een constante watertemperatuur van 26 C. De woning is rustig, maar niet afgelegen, gelegen. Op enkele minuten lopen is een kleine bar/restaurant waar je ook brood en croissants kunt kopen. We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

Afgelopen zomer hebben we met ons gezin genoten van een verblijf in Bien Loti. Wat een heerlijk luxe vakantiehuis in een rustige, maar echt prachtige omgeving. Het ontbreekt je werkelijk aan niets.
De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren hebben we vooraf ervaren, maar zeker ook tijdens ons verblijf met tips voor mooie uitstapjes in de omgeving.
Wij komen volgend jaar weer terug. Want dit smaakt naar meer!

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Bien Loti. Het huis is ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. De communicatie met Annet verliep soepel en was heel prettig.
In de omgeving is er genoeg te doen en te zien. Onze vakantieweek is voorbij gevlogen. Dank!

The Cahors wine region is one of the oldest of France. For centuries it was France's most famous and most requested wine.
The wine region is situated around the Lot river and is 4300 hectares large.
Activities
The beautiful wooded area is ideal for lovely walks and make sure to visit the attractive and authentic French villages with their markets.
The town of Cahors is 20 km away and Cazals 17 km.
And of course you can relax at our private pool.
