The house
Le Barbier is a detached gite for four with all mod cons. Entering the gite via your own entrance from your private space parking, you walk into the hallway. To the left are the toilet, a separate shower and separate bathroom with sink, bathtub and washing machine. To the right you walk into the spacious living room with a 2-seater sofa and 2 comfortable armchairs, a dining table with 4 chairs. In the same space is the kitchenette with everything you need to enjoy cooking. The kitchen is completed with a fridge-freezer, a Nespresso espresso coffee machine, a combi over-microwave and a dishwasher. Small appliances such as a hand blender, juicer, etc. can be found in the cupboards.
In the 2 bedrooms you will find a comfortable double bed 160 x 200 and 2 single beds 70 x 200. For hot days there are 2 fans.

Lieu dit Cazes consists of a medieval church + cemetery, a domaine, gentleman's farm and 2 houses. The gite is completely free, nearest neighbours at 150 metres, with a large grassland with fruit trees in front and a hill at the back, 2 1/2 hectares of land. Climb to the bench with a beautiful view over the Lot valley. In front of the gite are 2 terraces, one of which is covered. In hot weather, it is lovely to sit in the shade of the majestic acacia.

Wij verbleven een week lang in Le Barbier en hadden het goed naar onze zin. Simon en Marianne zijn heel vriendelijke, aangename mensen. Ze willen steeds het beste voor je tijdens het verblijf, dat siert hen. Prachtige locatie, zalig zwembad, prachtig huisje waarbij je niks tekort komt! Wij keren zeker nog terug!! Restaurants, food & wine
Visit one of the many wine castles in the immediate vicinity. The Cahors wine, le vin noir, is world famous. In the summer, there are daily marché's gourmands, where you sit at long tables and eat the regional products that you buy directly from the producer. There are fantastic restaurants in the immediate vicinity. You should also eat at one of the restaurants for ouvriers, workers, around 1 pm. A fair and abundant 3-course menu with wine for around € 15.
Activities
This part of the Lot department is a historical and culinary eldorado. Beautiful medieval towns like Puy l 'Eveque, Cahors, Gourdon, castles like Bonaguil, etc. are in the immediate vicinity. Two long-distance hiking trails, the GR 36, passes in front of the door and the GR 652 can be found 3 km away. In the gite are a large number of descriptions of hiking trails and cycling routes in the immediate vicinity. Many of the cycling routes run along the old tracks of the railway lines in this area. In the immediate vicinity is Cap Nature, a large climbing forest for children from 6 years of age. On the Lot river you can canoe, boat and fish. A mountain bike route passes right by the gite. And of course you can fully enjoy the swimming pool of 8.5 x 4.5 metres with large terrace. The private pool is open from 15 June to 1 October. For the little ones, there is a sandpit. Guests are enthusiastic about the large private space around the gite and the three terraces, one of which is covered.

Further remarks
The swimming pool and associated terrace are for the use of the gite's tenants. The pool is open from 15 June to 1 October. In very hot weather, Simon and Marjan, the owners, can also come and cool off.
