Soréde, also called "the pearl of the Albères" is a small town in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
In the vallee Heureuse, you will find our residence. From our Residence you can walk straight into the mountains, but you can also walk along or through the river, up to the waterfall. Here is also a natural swimming pool.
The village has 5 restaurants, two cafes, a greengrocer, a baker and a butcher and even two hairdressers.
The village is at 1600 metres from our Residence.
The nearest beaches are Argeles sur Mer and Collioure (a beautiful fishing village with many exhibitions). These are at 10 and 15 km from our residence.
At night it is dead quiet here and you can hear the owl and sometimes the crickets.
In short, a wonderful holiday paradise, where you are most welcome.

Restaurants, food & wine
Catalan cuisine is without fuss. No sauces, but an honest piece of meat.
The confit de canard and the margret de canard are very tasty, but there is also plenty of fish.
Sorede itself has several super good restaurants, but in the village Laroque des Albères, are also delicious restaurants to find.
In the vicinity are several wine cellars, where you can taste the wines from this area.
We also have the port-like wines, such as the delicious banyuls.
Activities
We do not organise any activities, but you can play jeu de boules, ping-pong, swim (both in the swimming pool and in the small river next door),
also there are in the cabinets various games and lots of books and DVDs

300 days of sunshine per year! A beautiful setting, mountain views, rippling river next door, hiking trails from the house, so the mountains.
A small waterfall, with natural pool!

Spain half an hour away.
And then of course, lest best, our beautiful botanical garden, full of palms and lovely large pool.

Wij hebben 3 weken lang volop genoten in Sorède bij Hanneke en Teun van Residence La Rasclose. Wij verbleven in Suite Castanyers. De suite was super schoon, beschikte over een fijn terras, een mooie badkamer en in de keuken ontbrak het nergens aan. De kinderen hebben heel veel plezier gehad van het heerlijke zwembad en hieromheen de prachtige tropische tuin met uitzicht op de bergen. Hanneke en Teun zijn enorm gastvrij, lief en hartelijk en voorzagen ons vaak van goede tips voor uitstapjes en bezienswaardigheden. De omgeving is de perfecte uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in de Pyreneeën, dagjes strand, het bezoeken van mooie stadjes als Collioure en Céret én Spanje ligt om de hoek. Wij hebben heel veel gezien en gedaan, maar nog lang niet alles. Wij komen heel graag terug en bevelen deze accommodatie van harte aan!
