“Beaulieu” is said to be dated back to the 1400′s and was built as the hunting lodge associated with the Chateau Brassac located about 5km away. Later on it became a monastery and then a farm for the last 150 years. The old barn has been renovated into the guesthouse (gite). The renovations have been tastefully done, balancing the old world charm of the building with the ‘creature comforts’ of today.
On the ground floor, off the covered terrace, you will find an open plan living room, dining area and kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The living area has a comfortable sofa, easy chair and tv. The custom built oak kitchen is fully fitted with stove/oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and smaller appliances. Bedroom I has a king size double bed, bedroom II is fitted with twin beds. The bathroom is fully tiled, has a sink, wc and a walk-in shower. There is also a laundry room with washing machine on the ground floor. The ground floor is designed wheelchair friendly with ramp access to the terrace, wide hallway and doors and no thresholds. An oak staircase leads from the covered terrace to a balcony off of which there are 2 twin bedrooms and a bathroom. The bathroom is fully tiled with sink, wc and shower.
The outdoors has stunning views of rolling hills and farmland and there are several covered and open terraces to be enjoyed. In the garden there is a large pool with pool terrace. The pool measures 5.5m x 11.5m x 1.2 x 2.2, and is fitted with regulation immersion alarm. Stair and ramp access to the pool area. Covered guest parking is available for 2 cars. EV Charging at 16A is available at request (Price on demand).The friendly owner lives nearby and occasionally shares the pool area. The pool is not heated and is open from mid May to the end of September.
