The house
The gîte or cottage (Gîtes de France label "3 épis" and classified Meublé de tourisme 4*) is located on the ground floor of an outbuilding, once a wine-producing area. It has been nicely and comfortably renovated with sleeping places for up to 5 people.
The property has a private entrance. Hall with access to the bathroom with double sink, toilet and walk-in shower; fully equipped kitchen including electric stove with oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, etc.; living area with sitting area around the fireplace, TV; children's room with bunk beds and a pull out bed; double bedroom (bed 1m80) with en-suite toilet and access to the sunny private terrace with equipments. Barbecue. The terrace overlooks the garden and hills.
Directly opposite the cottage is a playground with a trampoline and a square to enjoy a game of "jeu de boules".
All linen are provided with the exclusion of pool towels.
In summertime the pool is always available, however, together with the guests of the bed and breakfast.

All basic amenities (doctor, pharmacy, grocery, bakery, butcher, bank, restaurant,...) are within 3.5 km. There are many local markets in the surrounding villages.

Our house, more than 175 years old, has been built in the typical "pierres blanches" (white limestone) from the region . Originally an old farm with vineyards, sheep and goats, whose traces are still visible until today, it has been already partially renovated by keeping the authentic charm and style. The house is surrounded by a garden of nearly 4.5 hectares features boxwood, old oaks and pastures for the horses.
La Boissière is quietly situated just outside the village of Andillac, with the typical "pigeonnier" or dovecote as there are several in this region. On walking distance through the surrounding vineyards you can visit the museum “Château Musée du Cayla”, birthplace of the writers Maurice and Eugénie de Guérin, and where several exhibitions and cultural events are organized.
This location in the "triangle d'or" (golden triangle) between Albi (Episcopal city classified under the UNESCO World Heritage), Cordes sur Ciel (preferred village of the French in 2014) and Gaillac (one of the oldest wine regions of France), offers you the opportunity to discover "le pays des vignobles et bastides". The numerous small medieval villages as Puycelsi, Castelnau de Montmiral, St.Antonin Noble Val, etc., provide unforgettable views over the beautiful hills. Nature lovers, hikers, bikers, motorcyclists,... and of course horse riders can find more than enough to enjoy along the various routes and paths!
For those who prefer to laze around, we have at any time of the day our pool of 6m by 12m and jacuzzi available. On the spacious equipped terrace surrounding the pool you can chill in one of the lounge chairs or read a book, perhaps accompanied by a delicious cup of tea or a fresh juice...
Nothing can disturb your peace except the singing of the birds or the neighing of a horse in the valley....

In the morning we welcome you for a varied and balanced breakfast, only on reservation at 11,00€ pp.
For lunch, you can ask us to make you a picnic basket or a snack.
For dinner you can make a reservation (min.1 day before) for a meal of home cooking using fresh products from the region, accompanied the wines from Gaillac, preceded by a local aperitif and appetizers.

-The varied landscape around us with the idyllic field and forest trails, the babbling brooks and rivers, the breathtaking panoramic views over the hills, the countless vineyards and sunflower fields, the cosy small villages, the fauna and colorful flora,... are paradise for many walkers and cyclists, but also offer us, horse riders, chances for unforgettable treks in an unspoiled nature! We offer guided trial rides for everyone and lead rein pony rides for children up to the age of 7.
