The house
Private, refurbished, self-contained Gite with fully fitted kitchen/dining area, leading to a relaxing sitting room with comfortable sofa, coffee table and 2 armchairs. French windows lead to a south facing outdoor swimming pool for sole use by the gite which is open between May & September and the size is approximately 12m x 5m (radiused sides) and a constant 1.4m deep. The adjacent terraced area is equipped with an electric awning, parasols & BBQ all within an enclosed, fenced mature garden. An internal staircase leads to 3 double bedrooms,a family bathroom with a large walk-in shower with WC, wash-hand basin and towel rail. There is also a separate room with WC with wash-hand basin.

Our gite is situated off the D600 in the village of Marnaves, close to the railway station at Vindrac and 9 km's from Cordes-sur-Ciel and within approximately a 30 minute drive of St Antonin Noble Val, Najac, Albi and Gaillac. The gite has a separate gated driveway with ample parking and external lighting.

Voor de 2e keer waren wij op vakantie in Fon de Greze. En ook ditmaal hebben wij hier een hele fijne vakantie gehad. In het huis ontbreekt het aan niets, en het zwembad is een heerlijke verkoeling op warme dagen. De omgeving verveelt nooit, wij hebben verschillende fietstochten gemaakt. (voor de geoefende fietser). Ik kan dit vakantiehuis aanbevelen aan een ieder die van rust, natuur, en mooie dorpjes houdt.

What a wonderful house with everything you need within easy reach in a complete kitchen. But also the swimming pool and the beautiful garden were an absolute pleasure! And not unimportant for the youngsters was the good wifi! We really enjoyed all the luxury in and around the house and certainly the friendly Angela and Simon who also ensured that everything remained satisfactory.
Such as the first groceries, change of sheets after one week and the swimming pool which was well maintained! And of course, a very beautiful environment and plenty of excursions in the area! We all enjoyed this beautiful place with our dog! A house to definitely come back again!

This is our third stay in this beautiful Gites and we will definitely return again. It is difficult to describe the magic of ‘Fon de Greze’. The location is idyllic, a five minute drive to buy croissants from the local bakery, yet set in unspoilt countryside with far reaching views. The pool is the best we have ever experienced on our travels and the property is maintained to a very high standard. The accommodation is immaculate, spotlessly clean and everything works. Attention to detail is excellent. The kitchen is very well equipped with quality modern appliances, utensils, china and cutlery. The location is rural and spacious with far reaching country views. We visited Gaillac, San Antonin, Cordes-sur-Ciel, to name but a few places all within a 30 minute drive and never ran out of places or markets to visit. This is such an easy place to stay, Angela & Simon are charming hosts, available for advice about the where to go and what to do. A true gem!

Restaurants, food & wine
There is a market in Cordes on a Saturday morning which has a wealth of local produce and at St Antonin Noble Val on a Sunday morning with a larger selection of stallholders set up in the delightful cobbled streets. The local restaurants provide a range of cuisine for all tastes and budgets and the area offers a vast selection of wine tastings.
Activities
Ideally located in the Tarn region of France within easy reach of Cordes-sur-Ciel, St Antonin Noble Val, Albi, Najac and Gaillac. There are golf courses near by, weekly markets, wine tastings, fetes and medieval bastides to explore as well as a selection of restaurants within easy reach. A fishing licence is required in the Tarn department which is advisable to arrange for your holiday duration. Further local information will be available in the gite.

Further remarks
There is a selection of indoor and outdoor games including badminton, la boule, Molkky set, table tennis and a croquet set (on request). Dutch, English and French books are all available in the gite along with information about the surrounding area.

LOCAL TAX DE SEJOURS (Tourist Tax): This is now automatically calculated at the time of an accepted booking and included in the overall rental price. The tax is charged per Adult ( 18 + ) per night direct to the tenant and paid to the relevant authority by the Gites company. You do not need to do anything further for this after your booking is accepted.
