The house
Beautifully restored 4**** listed farmhouse with private swimming pool on a hillside in the south of France.
Domaine Puech Malou is located in the Tarn department of Occitanie, formerly Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées.
Puech means hilltop in Occitan and Malou is an ancient variety of apple.
The farm, dating from around 1800, sits on a sunny hill at 525 metres, in the middle of the countryside of southern France. The property is part of the idyllic hamlet of Puech Malou, which belongs to the neighbouring commune of Teillet. Albi is less than 30 minutes away by car and you can be in Toulouse in an hour. On a clear day, you can see the peaks of the Pyrenees in the distance. The surrounding area is peaceful and unspoilt, with beautiful views and many picturesque villages.
"De Hoeve is an old farmhouse that has been completely renovated. The house has retained all its charm and has been furnished with care.
The fields surrounding the property have been transformed into a private, park-like garden with terrace and swimming pool.
The estate offers a great deal of comfort and privacy - it can accommodate up to 10 people.
A covered courtyard provides access to the farm's spacious kitchen. This room is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. Further on, there is a large, cosy sitting room.
The house also has five romantic and spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms,
French windows in the living room open onto a private garden with a pretty terrace, fully equipped for 10 to 12 people. The lime tree provides welcome shelter in summer. Of course, there is a barbecue on site.
Access to the wooded grounds of over 2,500m2 is via the terrace. Here you'll find a remarkable view of the surrounding hills. Here, you can admire splendid sunsets and starry skies in complete privacy.
The swimming pool measures 5 by 11 metres and has a total depth of 1.30 metres. It is equipped with an alarm system and is completely surrounded by a beautiful terrace with sun loungers.
Peace, space and privacy are the key words on the estate and we do our utmost to ensure that you have an unforgettable holiday.

The estate is located in the Occitanie region, in the department of Tarn, which enjoys a mild climate influenced by both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
The region is rich in nature, culture and history. The landscapes vary considerably, from rolling plains to beautiful mountains. This great variety of landscapes, the beauty of nature, the rich architectural and cultural heritage, and an ancient history make the Tarn a privileged holiday destination.
The Tarn is home to a wide variety of spectacular landscapes: the Monts de Lacaune, the Montagne Noire, the granite rocks of the Sidobre, the vineyards of Gaillac and the Pays de Cocagne - but you'll also discover many architectural sites such as the Bastides des Albigeoises and charming medieval villages such as Bruniquel, Puycelsi, Penne, Castelnau de Montmiral and Cordes sur Ciel.
History buffs will love visiting Lautrec, Ambialet, Lincou, Brousse le Château, Saint-Iziare, Coupiac and Plaisance.
For those who find that all this is not enough, the Cathar castles, ruins and caves are nearby. During your stay, you can also visit the fortified medieval city of Carcassonne, Rodez and its Gothic cathedral, Millau and its magisterial viaduct, not forgetting Toulouse and its Renaissance palaces.
The capital, Albi, is situated on the river Tarn. The city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old centre of the episcopal city around the imposing Sainte Cécile cathedral is made up of numerous narrow streets with shops and restaurants. The Palais de Berbie now houses the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum and is one of France's great contemporary museums. Albi has an undeniable Mediterranean charm!

Domaine Puech Malou heeft alles wat een vakantie voor ons behoort te hebben. Zeer mooi en compleet vakantiehuis. Op de heuveltop niets dan rust. Dorpjes op 10 min en stadjes op nog geen 30 min rijden. Albi en Carcassonne waren favoriet.
We hebben genoten van de eerste tot de laatste seconde. Wij verbleven met onze vijf kinderen en drie honden. Niets was te veel. Bij aankomst had Clement heerlijk voor ons gekookt (aanrader!!). Ook al waren er een paar bewolkte/ regenachtige dagen bij, het maakt niet uit. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug! Dankjewel voor deze fijne week!Judith & Jeroen

We zijn net terug van een schitterende vakantie in de vakantiehoeve. We hebben genoten van de natuur, rustige omgeving, de mooie vakantiewoning. De vakantie was super, ook het onthaal en de suggesties van Clément waren top. Zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die wilt genieten van mooie natuur in een rustige omgeving.

Voor het vierde jaar op rij weer genoten van deze magische plek.
Rust, ruimte en privacy wordt aangekondigd en wordt in de meeste brede zin van het woord waargemaakt.
Heerlijke Cottage voor 2 personen. Van alle gemakken voorzien van vaatwasser, combimagnetron tot en met een Senseo koffieapparaat.
De bedden nog beter dan thuis en opgemaakt bij aankomst, tot in de puntjes schoon en aan alle details gedacht.
Social distance wordt gerespecteerd en is hier geen moeite, absoluut corona proof.
Genoten van de kleurenpracht en stilte in de prive tuin en van het heerlijke terras. Een advies: de tips van Harry en Monique absoluut opvolgen en een must.
Van bezienswaardigheden tot en met de restaurant top 11, van wandeltochten tot en met de lokale bakker. Zelfs na 4 weken nog steeds niet uitgekeken maar wel heerlijk bij kunnen komen.

We can provide you with maps and routes.
During your stay, you can also take a canoe trip on the river Tarn.
Golf enthusiasts will find numerous courses in the area.
To help you discover the region, we have prepared seven "Les Circuits du Tarn". These well-described, signposted day trips vary in distance from 70 kilometres to 175 kilometres. They will take you around the Tarn by car or motorbike to discover all the facets of what this beautiful part of France has to offer.
