The house
The completely detached gite offers a lot of privacy and comfort and has recently been renovated in French style.

The gite is situated at 400 metres altitude in a beautiful hilly landscape. The nearest village, Chappes, is at about 1 km. A larger village Montmarrault at 6 km. This village has all modern amenities such as large supermarket, restaurants, post office, banks.

We hebben daar een heerlijke week gehad. Heerlijk rustige omgeving, waar we vooral in de ochtend (vanwege de warmte) veel hebben gewandeld en gefietst. Fijne grote tuin waar onze hond zich prima heeft vermaakt. Het huisje is eenvoudig, maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een fijne vakantie. Wij waren zeer tevreden!

St.Pourçain is the centre of the St.Pourçain wines. You can visit various caves, where one can taste and buy all kinds of wine. The Sioule valley is known as a gastronomic region especially for its vineyards, which are among the oldest in France.
In the Allier, you will also find many restaurants at home or at the farm. Ferme auberge'. You will notice how hospitable the French people are in this region.

In the Auvergne, nature still rules.
A region with forests and hills, but also mountains, Puy de Dome, many old towns, inns with delicious meals and friendly unhurried people.
Rivers for fishing, canoeing and swimming.
Visit the many markets and brocantes.
In the Auvergne are more than 500 Roman churches and 50 castles to visit. Fifteen minutes away is St. Pourcain with its many vineyards and direct sales to the farm.
