The house
The Gîte Bellevue is located on the domain of Fermette La Planche which includes the house of the RUMMENS family that is not rented out and a formerly large barn with cowshed now converted into 2 gîtes.Gîte Bellevue recently received a rating of 3 stars according to the new classification 2022 of furnished tourist accommodations from A TOUT FRANCE. The landlord made high demands on the furnishing of the gîte. Good beds, good sanitary facilities and a fully equipped kitchen are some of his demands. Key words for the gîte are child-friendliness, luxury and comfort. The gîte "Bellevue" with a private entrance, a covered private terrace and a fenced private garden is located at the back of the former barn. This holiday home Gîte Bellevue is suitable for maximum 6 persons (3 bedrooms) and possibly a baby. The gîte has a cosy furnished living room with sitting area equipped with a Smart TV with digital satellite receiver, a radio-CD installation and wireless Fiber Internet (WIFI) (500Mbps!). Furthermore, we have as a joint accommodation a heated swimming pool (8 x 4 m) that has a chlorine-free cleaning method which increases your swimming pleasure considerably. Around the swimming pool there are 12 sun loungers, a pool shower, a toilet, a summer kitchen, a covered terrace and a jacuzzi, all surrounded by a 2.5 m high natural stone wall. Behind the swimming pool, there is a jeu de boule court, a swing for the little ones and a small fish pond. The area is extremely suitable for nature and peace lovers, as the region has not yet been discovered by mass tourism. You can go walking, cycling and do water sports like fishing, canoeing, sailing and swimming.

Our gîte is located 15 minutes from the autoroute A 71 between ORLEANS and Clermont Ferrand (exit 10 MONTLUCON), the distance from Brussels is 652 km, from Utrecht 820 km. The cottage is situated along a quiet country road at one km from the village HYDS, in the village is a bakery and at 11 km in the town Commentry we find all shops like: The region is a quiet, green, hilly, wooded and watery area with countless churches and castles. In the surrounding villages you will find the original French country life. Our gîte is for rent for families who love peace, relaxation, silence and space. Our fermette is an ideal place to relax and enjoy.

We hadden een heerlijk vakantie waarbij we volledig tot rust kwamen in Gîte L'Escale. De volledig uitgeruste keuken, heel comfortabele bedden en propere badkamer zorgden er voor dat we volop genoten hebben! De gastvrije Frank bood ons een heerlijke BBQ aan zodat we de gasten uit Gîte Bellevue leerden kennen. Het zwembad met bijhorende buitendouche en ligzetels was de verzamelplaats om bij elkaar te zijn. De zomerkeuken en overdekt terras zorgden er voor dat we niet de hele tijd over en weer naar de Gîte moesten. De warme jacuzzi deed ons 's avonds onder de sterrenhemel helemaal ontspannen.
De perfect werkende WiFi en televisie zorgde er voor dat we niets moesten missen van de Tour de France! We maakten enkele mooie wandelingen, gingen lekker eten in Hérisson en in Néris-les-bains, bezochten een vulkaan, vlogen met een parapente vanop de Puy-de-Dôme, gingen naar attractiepark Le Pal en deden een hoogteparcours in Échassières. Dus een actieve vakantie voor de kinderen en eens terug bij Frank een ontspannende vakantie voor de ouders!Een echte aanrader!!!

Het gastvrij onthaal door gastheer/eigenaar Frank deed meteen vermoeden dat we hier voor een mooie week echt wel vakantie zouden genieten. Over de zeer verzorgde gîte kan niets negatiefs gezegd worden. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is beschikbaar (en je hoeft maar te vragen mocht er iets ontbreken). Bovendien mag je zorgeloos gebruik maken van gemeenschappelijke faciliteiten als wasmachine en droogkast (mocht de zomerzon niet volstaan). Het zwembad is zalig om te verpozen en de momenten om van de jacuzzi gebruik te maken in de stilte waarin alleen de vogels zich laten horen, zijn momenten van absolute ontspanning. Tijdens de week biedt Frank de mogelijkheid aan om voor de gasten te barbecueën. Wie die kans niet grijpt, zal nooit beter de smaak van de Charolais (rund) leren genieten. Het zou dwaas zijn de afstand als minpunt te noemen. De streek van de Allier is juist zo bijzonder door haar uitgestrekte landschap, waar je tal van attracties en hotspots kan vinden. Zelfs vanuit de gîte kan je heerlijke wandelingen maken die je brengen langs mysterieuze dolmen, prachtige uitzichten en opmerkelijke kastelen. In La Planche kunnen kinderen heerlijk spelen in de grote tuin en plonzen in het chloorvrij bad.

Restaurants, food & wine
All the normal possibilities that France offers. Enjoy the simple but very nutritious Auvergnat cuisine. In the many restaurants, complete 3-course meals are served from 13 euros, often including wine!
The wine region of SAINT POURCAIN SUR SIOULE is half an hour away.
Activities
The Allier department is rich in beautiful castles, many of which you can visit. Bourbon L'Archambault has a castle where a dressed guide shows you around.
From the month of April until the end of September you can indulge in the many Brocantes (flea markets) that are held in the villages.
In the field of nature there are many possibilities. At about an hour's drive away we are in the volcanic area where the city of Clermont Ferrand, at the foot of the famous Puy de Dôme is located. From this mountain, 1472 high, you have beautiful views over the green volcanic landscape.
You can also practice parasailing here.
A beautiful theme park that is certainly worth a visit is Vulcania, not far from Clermont Ferrand, where fun and education alternate. Also very worthwhile for children.
Le Pal is less than an hour's drive away. It is a combination of amusement park and zoo comparable to the Efteling. Our visitors with children are generally very enthusiastic about it.
At 30 minutes drive away you will find La Forêt de Tronçais (10,000 ha). This is the largest oak forest of Europe, where you can do sports very well. In this Forêt de Tronçais you will find beautiful lakes and an abundance of walking possibilities. We have hiking maps of the area.
There are guarded lakes with sandy beaches where you can swim. You can also go fishing.
The Gorges de Sioule are 30 minutes away. There, sport (canoeing / swimming) and nature meet.
For golf lovers, there are excellent opportunities at a ½ hour drive.
You can fish in the many lakes and rivers that cross the beautiful landscape.
At about 1 ½ hours drive you are in the middle of a beautiful ski area. In the Sancy area, you will find the ski resorts Supper Besse and Le Mont-Dore.
There you will find a very relaxed ski atmosphere, which is not comparable with the known large ski resorts. Absolutely worth a visit. Also for a day trip.
For pleasant shopping you can visit the cities of Moulins, Montlucon, Vichy, Nevers and Bourges. Moulins is a ½ hour drive away and there is a covered regional specialty market on Friday mornings.

If you like to go on holiday with your family, acquaintances or friends, but you want to be completely free, then you can rent our Gite L'Escale on the domain Fermette La Planche. It is located at the front of the former barn with a separate entrance, a private terrace and a fenced private garden. You can then be close to each other, swim together and relax in the jacuzzi.
Additional price info and offers
The rental period is at least 1 week and starts on the first Saturday at 3pm and
ends the last Saturday at 10.00 am. Outside the high season it is in many
cases it is also possible to rent a few days longer, the changeover day can be flexible and you get a discount if you are only 4 or 5 people.
Tourist tax: 0.99 euro/pers/day. > 18 years old
