The house
Four à Pain is a spacious holiday home for 6 people. It has a living kitchen with a fine wood-burning stove connected to a central heating system that also reasonably heats the bedrooms. The thick stone walls make Four à Pain wonderfully cool in summer. From the open kitchen with sitting area and dining table you go through a door and a few steps down to the very spacious sleeping area of Four à Pain. There are two single beds and another two single beds on the mezzanine. The architecture is very playful with small steps and lots of wood and nice details. The second bedroom again has two beds next to each other: a twin bed. There would still be enough space in the first bedroom to add an extra bed or baby bed.
From the 6-person holiday home you can walk straight into the courtyard of the farm. Children can enjoy playing there with bikes and all kinds of toys. You can sit quietly in the garden chairs and eat at the garden table. You have a nice view from the terrace.

You can find us in Auvergne. Brenazet is in the far south of the northernmost department of the Allier, just above the department of the Puy-de-Dôme, known for its 80 dormant volcanoes. To the south of Vernusse, relief increases and the Massif Central begins. You can take advantage of what both departments have to offer from Vernusse.

The French concept table d'hôtes literally means dining together with the hostess and host. We often hear it: in France it is not always easy to eat vegetarian. At Brenazet, however, you are welcome to enjoy a completely vegetarian meal. The vegetables come as much as possible from our own vegetable garden and are grown with care and without the use of pesticides.
There are several good French restaurants in the area; a list of tips is at your disposal.
Activities
In high season, Brenazet offers a weekly programme of fun activities for families: canoeing, pony riding, boules, pizza from the wood-fired oven, vegetarian food, yoga for adults and children's yoga, massage and fun activities with the ponies.
The Allier is the rolling heart of France: hushed villages, Romanesque churches and grazing white Charolais cows in a bocage landscape. The river in the Allier is one of the most beautiful protected natural areas in France. The area is wonderful for hiking or cycling, hiking maps are at your disposal.
You can make nice trips to pretty villages ( Charroux), swimming lakes, rivers, castles and markets.
