The house
Sweeten your life: the charming villa of “Le Fruitier” is located at the Gates of Provence, in the Drôme Valley, at the Domaine de Vincenti, our family estate for over four centuries. We installed it on the ground floor of our ancient family master-house. It is fully equipped and it offers an exceptional comfort. It is elegantly and very tastefully decorated with plenty of space, light and charm. The domain has a park of more than 24 acres, with a tennis court, a heated swimming pool and children's playground. Contact us at the "Domaine de Vincenti" for the conditions applying to shorts stays of 2 to 6 nights. During summer, we rent from Monday to Monday.
“Le Fruitier” is a ground floor apartment, charming and romantic. It is suitable for people with reduced mobility. It directly opens to the park and the beautiful interior courtyard of our family estate. It includes a living room of 30 m2, a dining room and a kitchen, each of 25 m2 and open, two large and two smaller bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with toilets, one of them beeing private and accessible with a wheelchair, a large hall and a washroom. The living room is very cozy, with vaulted ceilings, two sofas, TV, Wi-Fi, HI-FI, ancient furniture and a fireplace to spend comfortable hours by the fire. The dining table can accommodate 8 people; the dishes of white Limoges porcelain and the cutlery are elegant and you will be charmed by the simplicity, taste and purity of the decoration.
The kitchen is fully equipped with many accessories and appliances: stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, food processor, steamer, blender... The laundry-room is hidden behind old wooden doors of the halls and includes a washing machine, a dryer, and iron and an ironing board, a vacuum cleaner... The villa is also equipped with an excellent gas-powered central heating system: everything has been planned for to provide you with a most convenient time in Vincenti.
For the bedrooms, we have selected your bedding with great care, in order to give you maximum comfort. We also prepare your villa according to the specific needs of your family and the two large bedrooms can be arranged either with a double bed 180x200 cm (King size) or two separate beds 90x200. The two smaller bedrooms have single beds of 90x200. When you arrive at Vincenti, your rooms and your bathrooms will be ready, carefully prepared with quality linen, duvets and towels. If necessary, we add baby beds, high chairs and changing tables: we want to offer the best environment for your little ones, who will find some toys upon their arrival. We can also introduce you with a warm local food maker from whom you can order some family meals, salads, pizzas… which he will deliver at the Fruitier. These food services are not included in our prices and they must be directly purchased from their providers. The villa is non-smoking and we do not accept animals.

We have plenty of space in Vincenti: the 24 acres park, with century-old trees, opens onto a small forest with a little stream. From the property, one can directly walk, bike or jog in the surrounding hills and countryside. The cottage has a large terrace with plenty of garden furniture and an outdoor fire pit for pleasant campfires under the stars. A gas barbecue is also available. Naturally, gas and wood are provided free of charge!
For children, we have a covered playground with a ping pong table, a sandbox, playhouses and outdoor toys. There are also swings and huge lawns to run and safely play. The tennis court, with his training wall and basketball pole, is available year round and the large swimming pool is open from May 1 to September 30. The park is secured to the side of the road and there is plenty of space to park cars. If necessary, we also provide a garage for motorbikes or bicycles together with some tools to maintain them.
The Drôme Valley is halfway between Lyon and Avignon in the South-East of France. The climate is almost Mediterranean, with 2,400 hours of sunshine per year and, usually, dry summers. As always in the South of France, one may sometimes experience a few windy days: it is part of the landscape of the South!
The Domaine de Vincenti is 3 kilometers away from the small town of Crest, with its famous medieval tower. One can find anything in Crest: supermarkets, bookstores, bakeries, butchers, wine shops, hair dressers, post office, organic food stores, fruit and vegetable shops, restaurants, bistros, pharmacies, doctors, gas stations, garages ... and a large open market every Saturday morning.
In Crest, visit the beautiful ancient tower which overlooks the town since 900 years and offers spectacular views of the valley. In the area, there are also quantities of charming old villages to discover, often perched on hilltops, with their ancient streets, their country bistros and unassuming restaurants.
Everywhere, the region offers varied and enchanting landscapes: plains and colorful agricultural valleys, vineyards, fields of lavender, fruit trees and truffle oaks; wild hills and mountains with Provencal accents… A little further away, at 1h15, discover the mythical old cities of Avignon and Lyon, loaded with history, charming with their lively pace and diversity, both listed on the UNESCO World Heritage. At 1h30, visit the spectacular Chauvet Cave, also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Throughout the year, participate in many cultural events available in the area: festivals, exhibitions, concerts.

Wonderful. Stunning. I can't say enough to do justice to how amazing this place was. We were two families (each with a 3.5 years old kid), stayed for a week, and were blown away by the grounds and the place. Brigitte and Bernard were lovely, always available, respectful, and remarkably helpful and forthcoming. The apartment itself is enormous, spotless, fully stocked, and super comfortable. Notably, it is also fully accessible (huge accessible shower, which is a rarity) - something that we did not utilize but might be relevant for others. The grounds are huge (there's a creek flowing through it!) , incredibly maintained, and offer endless playing opportunities for kids, far more than the pictures show, with anything from play kitchens to a tree house to a full garage of ridable toy tractors and trucks. Our daughters spent hours immersed in it while we took in the scenery. This is the dictionary definition of a hidden gem. Book it!!

Met heimwee denken we terug aan onze heerlijke vakantie bij Bernard & Brigitte. Wat een lieve mensen en wat een leuke gesprekjes hebben we gehad. Zo'n bijzonder domein, al generaties lang in de familie en met liefde voor gezorgd en duidelijk ook voor elkaar. Zoals Bernard over zijn vrouw en kinderen sprak was zo liefdevol.. Prachtig.
Onze oudste die dagelijks zijn hart op kon halen in het zwembad, traptrekkers en de verschillende boomhutten, hij heeft het er 2 maanden later nóg over. De Drôme is ons niet onbekend dus vanuit hier konden we onze favoriete plekken bezoeken.
Het enige wat we mistten was een wat comfortabeler zitje buiten. De ijzeren stoeltjes zijn niet super lekker als je nog een kindje in huis hebt liggen voor een middagslaapje en je zelf even wat wil lezen. Maar dat is echt alles.. Ga erheen en ga genieten!

Restaurants, food & wine
The Drôme Valley marks the start of Provence and the many traditional local markets give you an opportunity to meet friendly local farmers who sell, with a chanting accent, their vegetables, fruits, goat cheese, olive and lavender oil, garlic, truffles, traditional breads, wines ...
In a radius of 15 to 60 kms, visit the famous vineyards of the Côte du Rhône: Clairette de Die, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Joseph,… the tasteful Provencal wines of the Nyonsais and the area of Grignan, produced since Roman times...
For lunch or dinner outside, make a reservation in one of the excellent village restaurants of the valley or of the old city of Valence, 30 minutes away. Gourmets will also find several fine restaurants with 1 Michelin star, the nearest in Crest, just 3 km from the Domaine de Vincenti! For the food passionate, do not miss the very famous Restaurant Pic in Valence, with its 3 Michelin stars!

The Domaine de Vincenti is located in the countryside and the pace of life is tranquil and peaceful, allowing for a great holiday, just on-site. But there are also many hikes available close by, in the open countryside. The river Drôme runs through the valley and its water is very clean with, in fine weather, excellent swimming and beautiful kayak rides.
The Pre-Alps, the Vercors Mountains, the Forest of Saoû… hold many other possibilities. For the sports oriented, the region offers exiting opportunities for jogging, hiking, mountain biking, horseback or bicycle riding, climbing, via-ferrata, acrobranche, kayaking...

When you make your reservation, we will ask you the details of your party. This will allow us to prepare your "home", specifically for your family and friends.
Everything will be ready for you when you arrive and your beds will be comfortably prepared with fine linen and duvets. All bathrooms have hair-driers. The villa is also equipped with high chairs, baby beds, a baby bath tub and a changing table. Outside, a private terrace, with garden furniture, opens to the domain.
We are asking our guests to bring their tennis rackets and their pool towels
Let us know if you have bikes or motorbikes, we will also prepare a location where you can store them.
Our villa is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.

Prices are all inclusive, with the exception of the local tax (~ 0.80 € per adult and per night). Upon your arrival, you can simply register a Visa or Maestro Credit Card to cover for the security deposit.
