The house
The house is situated in a very quiet street behind the church of Mirabel-aux-Baronnies. Downstairs is a cool bedroom with shower and toilet, on the first floor is a kitchen with fireplace, the second floor has a balcony with a sitting room and also a shower and toilet, above is a loft with a lounge sofa. This couch can be transformed into a full-fledged bed with slatted bed base. The balcony is a super sheltered place to eat outside, to relax and to enjoy the great view of the hills. You can sit on the balcony with three people or with two people in the lounge chairs.
The house was completely restored in 2007 with traditional materials, the stairs are wide and easy and what strikes is that the house has few interior doors. The balcony is ideal for breakfast overlooking the village and the surrounding hills with behind them mountains like the Lance and the Angel. The kitchen is fully equipped (dining table, oven, cooker, dishwasher, fridge and plenty of pans, crockery, cutlery and glasses). My favourite spot is the daybed next to the fireplace. The balcony room is furnished with a dining table, two rattan armchairs and a small library. There is no TV, but there is WIFI, so bring your own tablet/laptop.
What we find a huge plus is that at 3 min walking distance there are two bakeries and a small grocery shop. Every morning fresh baguette or a croissant is a small walk through the cute French village!
As the house is not suitable for children, we only allow adults to stay.

Mirabel-aux-Baronnies is a cute old village, but lively enough, there are two bakers, a small supermarket, a tabac, an office de tourisme, a pharmacy and two cafes within crawling distance. At about 10 minutes drive away is the town Vaison-la-Romaine, more touristy with many restaurants and old town on top of a hill and very special Roman excavations. Just in the other direction is a slightly smaller town Nyons with a weekly large Provencal market and also many restaurants and shops.

Een fantastisch verblijf gehad in een heel comfortabel en gezellig huis. De verwarming is uitstekend bij wat koelere dagen. Het huis ligt ideaal voor prachtige wandelingen zowel in de Drôme als in de Vaucluse. Ook van huis uit zijn schitterende wandelingen te maken.

Voor de tweede keer hebben we een heerlijke vakantie doorgebracht in dit fantastische huis. De locatie is perfect voor prachtige wandelingen, fietstochten en bezoek aan mooie dorpjes en steden. Er is veel toeristische informatie aanwezig in het huis en de verhuurders zijn goed bereikbaar indien nodig. Na de wandelingen en uitstapjes was het heerlijk thuiskomen in het gezellige huis.

Mirabel-aux-Baronnies is surrounded by famous wine villages such as Vinsobres, Roaix, Seguret and Sablet. There are plenty of caves to discover, but local wines are also sold in supermarkets.
The towns Vaison la Romaine and Nyons have many restaurants and in the surrounding villages you will also find delicious restaurants. Tip: In France, a hot lunch is much cheaper than a dinner.

The house is more suitable for two people, for a third person there is a sofa bed in the mezzanine.
Cyclists can easily put two bikes inside on the ground floor.
