The house
In April 2015, we started the renovation of the longhouse belonging to Château le Grand Biard where we realised the beautiful gîte 'La Ronde'. The domain of le Grand Biard is 16 hectares and freely accessible to all guests. Guests can also use the recreation rooms with table tennis, table football and shuffleboard, the trampoline, the jeux de boules court and the swimming pool.
In the gîte, many old details have been preserved, original materials have been reused as much as possible, which creates an authentic atmosphere.
The gîte has a spacious living room with dining table, sitting area and a modern kitchen equipped with oven, microwave, induction cooker (3 rings) and dishwasher. There is also a sitting area with television on the spacious mezzanine. There is sufficient glass, crockery and cutlery. The entire cottage has underfloor heating. In the gîte there are 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower and 1 separate toilet. Cots/high chairs can be placed on request. Bed linen, towels and kitchen towels are included in the total price, as well as the final cleaning.
It is possible to connect the gite 'La Ronde' with the neighbouring gite 'La Remise', when you wish to come with a larger group (max 12 persons in total).

This gîte is part of the French municipality of Céré-la-Ronde. It is located just south of the river Cher in the 37 Indre-et-Loire département. In a larger context, it lies in the centre of the triangle Tours, Blois and Loches. This region is known for its rich history, its many castles and picturesque villages and towns.
The castles of Amboise, Cheverny, Chaumont and Chenonceau are all within 50 km of the estate. The small but characteristic castle of Montpoupon is also located 3 km away. Besides the various castles there are also many nice villages and cities to visit such as; Loches, Montrésor, Montrichard, Amboise, Tours and Blois.
At 15 km distance there is one of the biggest and most beautiful zoos of France; Zooparc Beauval. Highly recommended for young and old!

France Centre is known for its diversity of wines. The Vouvray and Touraine wines are the best known. In the vicinity there are many wineries to visit where the regional wines can be tasted.
In Bourré, at 15 km distance, there are marl quarries that are partly used for the wines of Montmousseau and partly for the cultivation of different kinds of edible mushrooms. These quarries can be visited daily.
In the vicinity, there is something for everyone, from simple to star level restaurants.

Wij zijn met een groot gezin 3 kinderen een volle week hier geweest. Werkelijk waar heerlijk. De gites zijn zeer ruimtelijk en mooi ontworpen. Aan de ene zijde uitzicht op het chateau en de andere zijde een prachtige binnenplaats. Voor onze kinderen een leuke speelruimte met tafeltennis en andere spellen. Wij raden deze rustige vakantieplek met veel privacy aan iedereen aan.
