The house
The gîte consists of two floors. On the ground floor is the kitchen, dining and living room. The bedroom with the bathroom is located on the mezzanine. The kitchen is a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher, an espresso machine, an oven, a fridge with freezer compartment and a microwave. The large living room in the gîte consists of a comfortable sofa and chair opposite a beautiful antique fireplace. In the gîte is a tasteful iron spiral staircase which leads to the first floor. From your comfortable Queen size bed, located on the mezzanine, you are able to look out over the trees in the garden. In the bathroom you will find modern sinks, a walk-in shower and separate toilet.
In the garden you will find a lot of fruit trees. On the meadow you can relax and love the view sitting on a coach.

Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!
Een hele rustige en klassieke franse omgeving waar je lekker tot rust kan komen. Heel erg gastvrije eigenaars en top service als het aankwam op de kleine dingetjes. Beide gites zijn heel mooi in franse stijl gerenoveerd zonder dat het afbreuk doet aan hedendaagse gemakken. Al met al een mooie locatie waar we zeker nog een keer terug komen.Henny from Utrecht,
Fantastisch verblijf
Een prachtige gite voorzien van alle gemakken op een mooie plek in de streek de Berry. Ton en Jeannine zijn zeer gastvrij en zorgen voor een heerlijke tijd waarin je kunt ontspannen, wandelen in de mooie streek, leuke stadjes bezoeken en nog veel meer. Er is een mooie rustige tuin bij waar je heerlijk kunt zitten lezen. Wij komen zeker terug.Wiesje from Amsterdam,

Perfecte plaats voor rustzoekers. Heerlijk om in de enorme tuin zitten met een glaasje wijn of om te wandelen in de omgeving. Sympathieke en zorgzame hosts. Kortom een aanrader!
Activities
Especially in the summer months you can visit various flea markets and / or vide greniers, which are kept in all kinds of villages. It is very pleasant to visit the beautiful monastery gardens of Prieuré d’Orsan, where you can safely stay for 1.5 hours. Other gardens are also certainly worth a visit. Culturally there is also plenty to see, such as the Maison de George Sand, various museums, but also old historic towns.
If you want to be active, you can walk or cycle here to your heart's content. But horse riding is also an option. An 18-hole golf course is located nearby with enough challenges for an experienced and inexperienced golfer. There are many fish ponds in the area.

Do not feel like cooking? You can join us for a "Plat du Jour", of course for a fee.
It is also very nice to do a wine tour in the surroundings of Chateaumeillant for half a day in the company of an English guide. A whole day is also possible, apart from the vineyard you also visit a cheese farm. And of course, plenty of opportunity to taste a wine.
