The house
Authentic, cosy and spacious French house 'haut de gamme' from 1993
Rustic yet comfortable interior with fireplace, television, DVD player, etc. Fitted kitchen with all necessary appliances such as oven, cooker (gas and electricity), microwave, dishwasher and fridge with separate freezer compartment. Next to the kitchen is a cosy veranda (conservatory). The interior is cosy and familiar. On the ground floor there is also the garage, toilet and storage space and a bedroom with double bed (140 cm). In the storage space there is a hoover and various cleaning utensils. There is also a washing machine in the garage.
Upstairs is the master bedroom (double bed 160 cm) with a massage table for romantic evenings... Also 2 bedrooms (one with double bed of 140 cm and one with 3 single beds, of which one of 160cm x 80 cm). On the landing there is a cot (cot 120 cm x 60 cm) available, as well as a single folding bed, these beds can of course be put in one of the bedrooms at will. Upstairs is another toilet and the bathroom. The bathroom consists of a bathtub and a separate shower and a double sink.
Outside you will find a fully enclosed garden of about 1400 square metres. Ideal for children and pets. In the garden you will find a swing, terrace with awning, a little pond with two goldfish and some nice big trees that are a hiding place for the squirrels that regularly come peeping ! The house is located in an oasis of greenery which will certainly delight lovers of fauna and flora. Jays, buzzards, kingfishers, herons and many other beautiful animals are easy to spot. In the evening, you can even hear the eagle owl in the forest behind.

In the heart of Champagne !
The extremely peaceful residence 'La Résidence du Lac des grands Prés is an exclusive place in the heart of Champagne. The residence was created around a lake dug out owing to the exploitation of Craie (limestone). In the meantime, the lake has been transformed into a beautiful, fully ecological swimming lake where it is wonderful to relax in all seasons (exclusively for the residents of the residence!). An oasis of peace and quiet. A top spot for young and old.
The Champagne region, more than just champagne
That there will be extensive tasting on your trip is a fact. But before or after the tasting, you will of course want to experience a few things. We list a few ideas:
- During the Second Battle of the Marne in World War I, there was some serious fighting in Château-Thierry. On the banks of the river you will find an impressive war memorial that is definitely worth a visit.
- A day trip to Paris is definitely a possibility, as the French capital is an hour and a half's drive from the hotel. Even before you drive into Paris, however, you will come across another impressive sight: Le Château de Champs-sur-Marne. The magnificent castle cannot match Versailles in size, but it is a lot quieter and you will also find a fabulous garden.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Genoten van het huis en de mooie grote tuin. Fijn gewandeld in de omgeving en stadjes in de omgeving bezochten

We (ouders, 2 kinderen en hond) hebben erg genoten van jullie villa en de omgeving! Het privé meer was zeer aangenaam en in de omgeving was genoeg te doen. Uiteraard hebben we de champagne wijngaarden bezocht maar een van de hoogtepunten was wel de lichtshow vanuit de boot in Chalon!
Jullie huis is een fijne plek met een grote omheinde tuin. Onze hond heeft erg genoten van de ruimte en wij hoefde ons geen zorgen te maken dat hij weg zou lopen.

We zijn een week geweest in dit zeer aangename vakantiehuis. Na een sympathieke ontvangst hebben we een fijne week in dechampagnestreek doorgebracht en veel gezien (Reims, Chalons, l Epine) en een paar keer naar die grote supermarkten in Chalons geweest. S avonds lekker de open haard aangedaan. Overdag hebben we dankzij het zonnige weer zelfs ondanks de kou in de serre gezeten! Kortom een prima vakantie!

In the heart of the Champagne region.
In our opinion, the Champagne region needs no argument. There is no doubt that Champagne is the drink of the gods. In 30 minutes you are in Reims or Epernay ; the main towns of Champagne with. Sounding names like Pomméry, Mumm, Moët et Chandon are mar some of the greats. But perhaps you are more interested in exploring the other 3,500 champagne houses ? More than worth the effort ! Or simply getting lost among the champagne fields, delicious. For non-wine lovers, there is also more than enough, the Cathédrale de Reims, la phare de Verzenay or remains from the First World War are just a few options.
Culinary-wise, it is still France that is at the top. Both for simple cuisine, finer cuisine and starred restaurants are easy to find in the region.

At 25 minutes by car through the Route toutistique de Champagne or about 30 km by bike along the Canal latéral à la Marne, past numerous locks and excellent cycling or walking routes.
Beautiful cycling routes along the Canal latéral à la Marne. It is easy to cycle as far as Epernay or Reims. Beautiful iddilian villages on the banks of the Canal or on the Marne.
You cycle partly through the parc régional du montagne de Reims, past the delicious vineyards where Champagne is prepared.
