The house
Our building itself, called "Notre Renardière", is divided into four flats: one for ourselves and three that we offer for rent. We have two gîtes for max 5 people and one for max 2 people (Depending on availability, you can therefore book several gîtes at the same time). Gîte 3 is located (together with Gîte 2) at the side of the building, directly on the hiking and cycling track Voie Verte. You enter into a cosy kitchen with dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas cooker, combi microwave/heated oven, dishwasher and a Senseo Switch coffee machine that you can use both with filter coffee and coffee pods. Still on the ground floor, you will find the living room with smart TV with both Netflix and Prime installed on it. Up the stairs you will find the bedroom with large double bed (1m80) and a spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower.

The beautiful Vosges mountain range, known for its mountain lakes, waterfalls and pine forests, is an ideal destination all year round. Our gîtes are located in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park, in the charming village of Saulxures-sur-Moselotte. Bakery, supermarket and restaurant within walking distance. You will find hiking trails everywhere in the area, and our gîtes are right on the Voie Verte, a well-known cycling and hiking route.
In the summer months, our village has an additional asset: the Lac de la Moselotte, a beautiful swimming lake and recreational area just 3 km from our gîtes. Here you can enjoy a refreshing swim, slides, an inflatable obstacle course, floating on the water and a playground, there is something for the whole family!
For winter sports enthusiasts, it is good to know that the largest and highest ski resort in the Vosges, La Bresse-Hohneck, is only 21 km (20 min) from our cottages. The ski area is easily accessible, no need to worry about driving in the snow. The road to it is a well-maintained main road and in winter the gritter passes daily if necessary, from our gîtes to the car parks at the slopes.

Activities
In the midst of the beautiful High Vosges, Saulxures-sur-Moselotte is a charming village with all daily conveniences nearby: bakery, supermarket, butcher and restaurant are all within walking distance of our gîtes. And yet you step or cycle straight from your gîte into nature: the famous Voie Verte runs right next to Notre Renardière, and numerous hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes start from the door and take you past forests, mountain ridges and panoramic views.
Our region is an absolute paradise for nature lovers. You will discover such gems as the Saut du Bouchot or the impressive Tendon waterfalls. There are beautiful lakes everywhere, including in our own village, with the Lac de la Moselotte. In summer, this lake turns into a lively place with a supervised beach, pédalos, slides and a large inflatable aqua park. Fun guaranteed for young and old!
Sports enthusiasts can certainly expend their energy here too. Just 21 km away is La Bresse-Hohneck, the largest ski area in the Vosges, which in summer transforms into the spectacular Bike Park of La Bresse, a true playground for mountain bikers and downhill fans. Still in La Bresse, you will find the Bol d'Air adventure park, where you can climb, swing among the trees, take a death ride or even take to the air and soar with a paraglider flight over the valleys.
Top sporting events also regularly take place nearby. In Saint-Nabord, for example, the legendary L'Infernal Trail des Vosges, one of the most famous trail runs in France, with distances ranging from 15 to 200 km, as well as the spectacular Infernal Run, an obstacle run full of challenge and fun, is organised every year.
Fishermen are also well catered for here: in the river La Moselotte, which flows through our village, or at the idyllic Étang des Fées, where you can fish for carp, tench, perch and other species. And for those who like to take a trip to a town: just 10 minutes' drive away is La Bresse, with its sporting atmosphere and local specialities, and 20 minutes away is Remiremont, a charming town with shops, terraces and a beautiful historic centre.
Whether you like adventure, relaxation or just the peace of the mountains, Notre Renardière in Saulxures-sur-Moselotte is the perfect base to discover the splendour and versatility of the Vosges Mountains.
