Marmonfosse (Alt.450m) is a unique place set deep in the forest of the Vosges mountain range. The large area around the house is already a place of adventure in itself, and can occupy young and old alike. There is direct access to the forest, and many walks start right from your door. Saint-Dié and Bruyères, two nearby towns, have all the necessary facilities. The Hautes Vosges (altitude 1400m) is a paradise for hikers, around thirty minutes away by car. In winter, you can enjoy superb snowshoeing, downhill skiing and cross-country skiing. Alsace, an hour's drive away, with its characteristic culture, its Wine Route, and its beautiful towns such as Strasbourg and Colmar, is also well worth a visit, especially at Christmas time.

Wij hebben een hele fijne week door gebracht in Gite Mirabelle. Het is prachtig gelegen als je van rust houdt. Er is een meertje waar je in kunt afkoelen, je kunt wandelen vanuit het huis en het huis is sfeervol en authentiek. De eigenaar is heel vriendelijk en toegankelijk voor advies, hij is flexibel en alles is te bespreken. Ik zou het huis zeker aanraden en hoop zelf in de toekomst weer eens te gaan.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad. De gite is basic, maar voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. De tuin is lekker groot en afgescheiden. De omgeving is prachtig en het is er heerlijk rustig. Genoeg mogelijkheden om te wandelen, soms een klein stukje met de auto om een bewegwijzerde wandeling te doen. Voldoende dorpjes in de buurt waar je brood kunt halen of boodschappen kunt doen.

We hebben ontzettend genoten van de gastvrijheid van de eigenaren. Het huis was prachtig en de ligging sprookjesachtig. Het is een hele rustige omgeving met veel mogelijkheden om te wandelen, fietsen maar ook om culturele activiteiten te ondernemen. De winkels zijn dichtbij en er is een enorme keuze. We raden iedereen aan om ook naar deze gite te gaan met vakantie.

The many leisure facilities also offer a wide range of activities (the ski areas of La Mauselaine - Gérardmer and Les Bas-Rupts - Gérardmer, snowshoeing trails, an indoor swimming pool, ice rink, casino, bowling alley, etc.). Easily accessible from the SNCF stations at Epinal, Saint-Dié des Vosges, Remiremont and Colmar, or from the airports at Strasbourg-Entzheim, Mulhouse-Bâle, Nancy-Metz, Epinal-Mirecourt and Colmar (coach transfers provided to Gérardmer), the destination, which has been awarded the Famille Plus label, is particularly well suited to families (facilities, offers, services and entertainment tailored to their needs). Spread between the Pré Lynx (770 m) and the two sectors of the Grand Haut summit (1100 m) and the Tête de Grouvelin (1140 m), the accessible, family-friendly La Mauselaine downhill ski area, linked to Gérardmer by a regular free shuttle service, offers 40 km of runs and 370 metres of vertical drop.
