The house
GARDEN
Corcy is part of the larger town of Villers-Cotterêts, which together with several other villages are situated on open spaces in the large forest "Forêt de Retz".
Our comfortable holiday home exudes a typical French atmosphere and is furnished with farmers' flat-pack furniture and accessories. The park-like large enclosed garden of about 2000 square meters is surrounded by hedges, trees and shrubs with a lawn in the middle so that a maximum of privacy is present. Several stone walls remind us of a castle that used to stand here. From the house and the park-like garden, you have a beautiful view of Corcy in several places.
GROUND FLOOR
A double wooden gate gives access to the garden and the house. On the street level, there is a large garage with cellar. One level higher, adjoining the rear garden, the actual house is on one level. At the front of the house is a comfortable sitting area centred around a large fireplace. There is a widescreen TV with DVD player. With the dish aimed at the Astra satellite, you can receive a large number of television and radio channels in stereo, including BVN, a Dutch and Flemish channel and all other free channels. Besides the large fireplace, the entire house is heated by a centrally controlled electric heater. There is also WIFI in the house, this is a stable fast and unlimited internet connection.
TERRACE
At the rear is a beautiful dining area by means of two doors access to a large outdoor terrace facing south. From here you have a wonderful view over the entire park-like garden with flowerbeds. A large stone barbecue, teak garden furniture and a large parasol complete the picture.
KITCHEN
A comfortable kitchen with panel doors in bronze green colours is in open connection with the dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances. Everything is here such as a vitroceramic hob, hot air oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, deep fryer, kettle, coffee machine, etc.
BEDROOMS
A long corridor gives access to the bathroom, the toilet, the three bedrooms and the staircase to the basement with a fourth bedroom, storage room and garage. The bathroom has a washbasin and triangular bathtub and each bedroom has a double bed with pillows and duvets.
GARAGE
There is also a digital washing machine and condenser dryer and in the garage there are bicycles waiting for you.

- Longpont: Just outside Longpont, you will find a colossal farm from the 16th century. Local products are for sale here. Foie gras, duck-based products, local produce, farmyard chickens, poultry terrines.
- Vic sur Aisne: Wednesday morning market- Place du Général de Gaulle
- Soissons: Wednesday and Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. - Place Fernand Marcquigny
- Soisson: Catherine Leriche, owner of the local produce shop "L'Angelus" at the foot of the Cathedral.
Activities
CORCY
Corcy is beautifully situated in a green valley with a large fishing pond and riding stables for horse lovers. Dominant is the Gothic church from the 15th century in the centre of the village. The old washing place, the old well and the old houses give Corcy a medieval character.
LONGPONT
At 2 km distance, the village of Longpont has a medieval gateway, an old abbey and its chapel in a beautiful large garden with ponds and an old washing place. In Longpont, you will find several terraces and good restaurants. Just outside Longpont, there is another colossal farm from the 16th century with Gothic features. It consists of a courtyard with a dovecote, surrounded by stables and a residence. Local produce is for sale here.
FORÊTS DE RETZ
Not only Longpont, but every village in the vast "Forêts de Retz" forest is a medieval surprise. You will fall from one surprise into the next. An area with many castles, castle farms, large farms with pigeon towers, Roman and Gothic churches, old washing places, wells, wind and water mills, field crosses and so on. The villages and the large forest are protected here for a reason. Rich and varied fauna: deer, hinds, roe deer, foxes, wild boars. In such an area, it is of course wonderful to walk and cycle.
VILLERS-COTTERÊTS
At 8 km distance lies the town of Villers-Cotterêts where you can do your daily shopping. Also here is a beautiful castle on a large domain in the centre. The cosy centre consists of old streets with typical French shops, restaurants and terraces. At the edge of the town, you will find a swimming pool with an indoor and outdoor area. Museum of Alexandre Dumas, a famous French writer.
LA FERTÉ MILON
At 12 km distance lies La Ferté Milon, a medieval place with a water mill, picnic area with playground and boat trips on the river Oercq towards Paris.
PIERREFOND
At 27 km distance lies Pierrefonds, a touristic place with a mighty big castle, a big pond with pedal boats, playground, pubs and restaurants.
PARIS
The other special thing about this area is the great metropolis of Paris just a stone's throw away. To be precise, 45 km separate Corcy from the suburbs of Paris. Between these two different worlds, the brand new TER trains with their pointed noses flash back and forth. You will arrive in the centre of Paris in comfort and you can continue to enjoy this beautiful metropolis where you never stop looking.

Disneyland Paris and Parc Astérix are also a stone's throw away from our holiday home.

Absoluut een aanrader!!
Complete inventaris, supermooie omgeving met veel uitstapmogelijkheden en een weldadige rust rondom de woning. Wij hadden gerust nog een week willen / kunnen blijven!

Mooi ruim schoon huis,besloten tuin en woonomgeving.De badkamers zijn nog work in progress. Goede slaapkamers en bedden.Degelijke meubels alom.Parijs enz.makkelijk bereikbaar.Inkoopmogelijkheden op korte rijafstand.Toegankelijke ,vriendelijke eigenaren.Een huis om naar toe te gaan!
