The house
This ancient water mill has been artistically converted into three comfortable homes which are completely self-contained . Standing in 4 acres of meadows clothed with wild orchids in Spring, colourful butterflies and soaring buzzards, bordered by a tranquil stream fondly known as the babbling brook which is ideal for paddling on a hot summers day.
La Grange Sleeps 6 people. This recently converted detached property has its own secluded setting with a westerly aspect terrace overlooking the meadows ideal for watching the beautiful sunsets. La Grange features one large double and one bunk bed and one twin bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen complete with washing machine and a comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove. The bathroom consists of wc, bath, shower and washbasin.
Terrace areas come equipped with garden furniture and barbeques.
Free access to local village swimming pool and tennis courts only 5 minute walk.

We are peacefully situated within a picturesque valley in the lower Fenouilledes foothills of the Pyrenees standing midway between two small villages, Le Vivier and Fosse . This tranquil location makes it an ideal base for exploring the region or simply putting your feet up and relaxing. The closest airports are Perpignan (50 minutes), Carcassonne (1.5 hours), Gerona in Spain and Toulouse (2 hours) (low cost flights available with Ryan Air/Easyjet and Flybe airlines).

Wat een geweldige plek! We zijn echt tot rust gekomen, lekker weg van alle drukte. Veel uitstapjes gemaakt in de natuur, je ontdekt iedere keer weer iets nieuws. En niet te vergeten,,, we voelden ons erg welkom dankzij de vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van Kate. Dankjewel voor de mooie tijd!

Wat werden we hartelijk welkom geheten door gastvrouw Kate. Een mooi begin van een heerlijke week op een heerlijke plek. De omgeving is ontzettend mooi, het huis heel fijn en met aandacht ingericht door Kate. Er is volop ruimte, handig ook dat de huiskamer apart af te sluiten is als je dat wil, en heeft een heel fijn terras. Er is een eigen pad naar de voordeur. Je hebt volop privacy. Op 5 minuten lopen is een heel groot buitenzwembad met een prachtig uitzicht op de berg, waar je gratis een duik kunt nemen. In de omgeving is voldoende te doen en te beleven. Ook voor onze 16 jarige zoon die mee was. De mensen zijn zeer vriendelijk. Kortom: Een fijne vakantieplek!

Restaurants, food & wine
Moulin de Perle is situated midway between two small villages. A plan d'eau, mini golf and tennis court are located in Le Vivier only 10 minutes walk and the quaint village of Fosse with its free open air swimming pool (summer only) and tennis court is 5 minutes walking distance in the opposite direction. Several bars/restaurants providing anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal, a general store, bakery and butcher are located in Caudies 10 minutes drive and the larger village of St Paul ( 20 minutes drive ) offers several restaurants, banks, petrol stations, bakery, butcher, tabac and a medium sized Carrefour supermarket.
Activities
Eastern Pyrenees offers a wide range of activities that everyone can enjoy from adrenaline seeking adventures to quality family fun, all available within 15 minutes drive of our gites conducted by fully qualified instructors.
Swimming, golf, canoeing, horse riding, tennis, white water rafting, canyoning, trekking, mountain biking and many more are all available within 15 minutes drive or less.
There are countless walks to satisfy people of any state of fitness, the long distance GR 36 trekking route across the Pyrenees passes close to our complex as well as many others, details and maps available on request.
The gorgeous southern Pyrenees sunny climate makes the region a winter sports paradise with its great undiscovered slopes from Blue to Black, extensive Cross Country Trails all with fabulous mountainous scenery offering something for everyone whether skiing or sledging its hard to beat this superb location.

Additional price info and offers
Short breaks and Bed and Breakfast are also possible subject to availability. Reductions are available in the low seasons for longer lets and bookings for two or more properties.
Changeovers are usually Saturday to Saturday, however we are happy to accept midweek bookings wherever possible – Mid and Low Seasons only.
A damage deposit of 100.00€ is payable on arrival. This will be returned to you on departure assuming no damage is found.
