The house
Authentic and characteristic Normandy house situated in the beautiful 'bocage' (woodlands and pastures) of "La Basse Normandie". A wonderful place to unwind. The house is for the largest part in its original state and has old floors, old fireplaces with woodburners. The house has all mod coms such as central heating, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, oven, WIFI , television etc. In the spring of 2015 the house was fully renovated and a new kitchen and bathroom were installed.

The house has a quiet rural location near the village of Le Mesnil Villeman (50450) in the beautiful 'bocage' of Normandy. The house is equipped with all modern comforts. Only fifteen minutes by car from beautiful sand beaches, the lively port town Granville and copper town Villedieu-les-Poelles.

Heel mooi authentiek huisje in een rustige omgeving. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en nog zo veel meer. Mooie en comfy tuinmeubelen waar we de ganse week hebben van genoten. In de nabijheid vind je alles wat het verblijf aangenaam maakt : boodschappen doen, restaurantjes, uitstappen naar gezellige plaatsen en de zee. Een aanrader voor iedereen die houdt van rust in een mooie omgeving maar ook eens op stap wil gaan.

Geweldig huis, van alle gemak voorzien. Super sfeervol, geweldige locatie. Je hoort alleen koeien grazen. Heb veel vakantiehuizen in Frankrijk gezien, en deze behoort wat betreft ambiance en ligging tot de top. Absoluut een aanrader. Annelies, de eigenaresse, is heel behulpzaam en gastvrij.

Heerlijke plek. Thuiskomen! Alles is er. Het maakt niet uit wat je zoekt, het is er. Alles is gemakkelijk te bedienen, prima warm te stoken en hartstikke gezellig met beide haarden. Top geslapen, wij wilden niet meer naar huis! Genoeg te doen en te zien in de omgeving. O.a. De landingsstranden, diverse musea, marktjes, etc. Aanrader!!
Restaurants, food & wine
Normandy is of course known for its Camembert (in the round boxes), Brie and Cider. Certainly worth a try when you are staying in Normandy. French bread with Camembert and a good glass of red wine...the ultimate combination... Visit the lively markets with home grown and home made products such as cheese and vegetables...
Activities
From L'Hermitière several excursions and day trips are possible. Highly recommendable is Mont St. Michel, St Malo or the landing beaches. Granville is nearby, a lively harbour town with shops and cosy terraces. Villedieu-les-Poeles has a nice market on Tuesdays, Jullouville on Friday and Granville has market day on Saturday. These markets offer a variety of fresh and artisan products. Beach fun (sand beaches) and golfcourse at about 15 minutes driving.
