Relax in Le Houx Blanc - a first floor loft apartment in the countryside, rated 3 * with a large 1st floor terrace featuring dining and relaxation spaces plus a hot tub, terrace and shared heated pool - with countryside views. A perfect place to stay in south west Normandy.
The property is set out as a studio apartment with dining area / kitchen space at one end, settees and TV (French terrestrial, Freesat UK) in the middle. It has a fully fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob, oven, coffee machine). Your sleeping area with a double bed is at the end. It has a shower room also. Outside on the first floor terrace there is space to sit and relax, outdoor dining table and chairs, BBQ and your private hot tub just for your use (excluding the late autumn/winter period).

Swimming is possible in our (covered) in ground pool from April to October. Your private spa is also open at this time.
The village of Mantilly with a shop is 15 minutes away on foot with easy parking or a very short drive.
There are also many super cities and towns to explore such as Domfront, Vitre, Laval, Vire and a little further to Caen and Le Mans. In these towns there are many excellent restaurants and plenty of shopping.
There are many beautiful gardens in the area and towards the coast. Our favourite is the Botanical Gardens of Haut-Bretagne, an easy drive from Le Houx
As well as the beautiful Normandy countryside within 90 minutes you are at the Normandy beaches and also the Normandy landing sites.

Activities

Mantilly is the "Capital du Poire" - Pear Cider - so there are distilleries and other attractions inside and outside the Summer Season.

Each year in this part of Normandy for the month of December the villages organise a Christmas lights competition with many pretty villages to see. Our Gites are an excellent base for this.
