At the gateway to the Pré des Vergnes domain, you can go cycling, VTT or motorcycling in any terrain.
A 5 mn, the beach of Jouillat is managed and supervised. A beach restaurant is open all day in the afternoon and evening.
You can try your hand at canoeing, paddling, motorised barbecues, paddle boats, tennis or miniature golf. For the more courageous, a rubber boat will take you across the lake.
For the fishing enthusiasts, the Creuse is a paradise. Aux trois Lacs vous avez plusieurs mises à l'eau des zones de pêche à la carpe de nuit. Plusieurs cours d'eau de 1ère et 2ème catégorie se trouvent près du domaine. Pour vous initier, ou vous perfectionner des guides de pêche sont à votre disposition.
A 10 mn du gîte vous pratiquerez l'escalade sur le mur aménagé d'un viaduc.
A 20 mn il y a le golf 18 trous de la Jonchère.
Le Parc à loups de Chabrières, le Labyrhinte géant, ou l'accro-branche amuseront petits et grands.

Côté plus culturel la Creuse regorge de trésors.
Don't miss the castle of Boussac dating from the 12th century, where the famous tapestries of the Lady of Licorne were discovered, and the granite steps of the Petite Creuse gorges.
In the same sector, don't miss the perché village of Toulx Ste Croix whose tour covers six departments. La vue magnifique et grandiose vous fait apercevoir le Puy de Dôme et le Puy de Sancy. The small Romanesque church of Toulx, separated in two by the road, is a curiosity. Not far from the village, the remarkable site of the Jaume Painters inspired Georges Sand to write his novel Jeanne. It is full of huge millennia-old stones which contribute to the legends and mystery of the place.
The castle of Villemonteix of the 14th century is also worth a visit. Its architecture is typical of Creusian châteaux.
The valley of the Creuse painters was the backdrop for the Crozant school and Impressionists such as Claude Monet worked and left many works depicting Creusian landscapes. The ruins of the old fortress of Crozant from Xèm- XIIèm siècle perched on its rocky outcrop, bathed in the confluence of the Creuse and the Sedelle, form a romantic and enchanting landscape. You will end with a peaceful ballad on a bateau-mouche that will take you as far as the Eguzon dam, where you will be able to swim in the Creuse meadows.
Several remarkable gardens can be visited. Mes préférences vont vers le Jardin de la Sédelle et celui de Val Maubrune.
You will not leave Creuse without visiting the new international tapestry museum in Aubusson. The Aubusson Tapestry is listed as a "cultural heritage of humanity" by UNESCO. You will find various tapestry exhibitions in several churches and chateaux in the département.
En Creuse presqueque toutes les églises étant classées sont donc en parfait état. Elles datent toute du XIIèm siècle. L'Abbatiale Ste Valérie à Chambon sur Voueize ( 3èm village préféré des français en 2016) et l'Abbaye de Bénévent, située sur le chemin de Compostelle sont de pures joyaux d'architecture du XIIèm siècle. As for the church of Moutier d'Ahun, it has sculpted stalls in the 17th century that are of exceptional beauty.
