Step back in time with today's comfort at Les Petites Pierres. This lovingly renovated 18th-century cottage oozes character thanks to its original oak beams and typical French feel. With stunning views over the wooded valley, this is the perfect place for a family of up to five.

Ground floor (Life & Comfort)
Living & Dining Room: An atmospheric room with robust oak beams and a fireplace with an atmospheric hearth (electric) for those cosy evenings in the early or late season. Equipped with streaming TV and a selection of books and games.
Kitchen: Fully equipped with gas cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine is available in a separate room.
Sanitary facilities: Neat shower room with toilet.
Free WiFi: Naturally available everywhere.
Upper floor (Sleeping under the Beams)
Via the stairs (fitted with a safety gate at the top) you reach the two cosy bedrooms:
Bedroom 1: With a beautiful antique French double bed and views of the woods.
Bedroom 2: Equipped with a bunk bed and a single bed.
Both rooms have beautiful beamed ceilings and electric heating for optimal comfort.

Les Petites Pierres offers you two different outdoor spaces to make the most of the surroundings:
Private patio: Right at the front of the gîte, ideal for a cup of coffee in the morning sun.
Private Garden: Across the path, you have a second private garden with barbecue, dining table and parasol. The perfect place for dinner overlooking the forest.

☀️ Water fun in the 'Sun trap
Take a refreshing dip in our large, safely fenced swimming pool (9 x 5 m), beautifully situated in a sheltered, sunny valley.
Relax: A spacious sun terrace with comfortable loungers and parasols surrounds the pool.
For the little ones: there is a safe paddling pool.
Season: Open from May to October.
🏸 Active & Sporty
On our large, well-equipped playing field, boredom is not an option.
Live it up with:
Sports: Football, table tennis, badminton and various outdoor games.
French classics: A boules court right next to the swimming pool and a croquet lawn near the vegetable garden.

🦋 A garden paradise
We aim to create our own 'Garden of Eden'. Our fledgling food forest and lush garden are a magnet for local wildlife. Don't be surprised if you spot red squirrels, buzzards, lizards or countless butterflies and ladybirds during your stay. Wild boars, deer and badgers also regularly visit our grounds.

Het was heerlijk. Mooie plek, rustig en zo stil. Leuke plaatsen in de omgeving. Dagje Ile de Ré is een aanrader.

Echt een hele fijne plek voor een vakantie, absoluut een aanrader! Het huisje is prima voor een gezin met 1 of 2 kinderen en echt van alle gemakken voorzien (inclusief een wasmachine!). De ligging en de rust zijn geweldig, het zwembad is klein maar aangenaam, mede door de prachtige ligging tussen alle bomen, het eigen tuintje met BBQ fijn om te eten, ook nog een leuk speelveld met ook daar alle attributen voor voetbal en tafeltennis. Anne en Ray zijn zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam en extra oplettend vanwege COVID-19. En zij zorgen met veel liefde voor hun gites en hun gasten. Kortom, zeer goed voor een zeer goede prijs. In de omgeving is het leuk fietsen met regelmatig een stevige klim. Op rij afstand met de auto zijn de Marais Poitevin (bijvoorbeeld Maillezais voor een roeitochtje door de kleine groene kanaaltjes rond de abdij), Ile de Rhé (mooie stranden en heerlijk vis en schelpdieren eten bij Bistrot du Marin in het prachtige haventje van Saint Martin-de-Rhé) en de kust tussen La Tranche-sur-Mer en La Faute-sur-Mer (ook met mooie stranden en om heerlijke mosselen te eten) aanraders, ook om in combinatie met Les Jinchères en omgeving in een paar dagen tijd veel afwisseling te hebben. Wij hebben genoten!

We hebben twee prachtige weken gehad. Het is een knus huisje waarin we hartelijk werden ontvangen door Anne en Ray. Een mooie plek om tot rust te komen, midden in het bos op het terras tussen de vogelgeluiden. Het is een mooie uitvalsbasis voor mooie stadjes en chateau's in de buurt. Enkele grotere steden vonden wij ook zeer de moeite waard: Poitier is een prachtige oude stad, La Rochelle een mooie kustplaats. Het pretpark Puy du Fou is een hele belevenis. In de buurt van de gite is het Parc Aventure erg leuk om te doen, heerlijk klimmen (met goede uitrusting) en zweven tussen de bomen.
Kortom, een fijne locatie met gastvrij onthaal.

Action & Adventure: Just 10 minutes away you'll find the Adventure Forest (climbing!) and a popular go-kart track.
Fishing: Enthusiasts can indulge at Pescalis, a beautiful fishing lake 10 minutes' drive away, known for carp up to 25 kg.
Natural phenomenon: Just north of l'Absie is the Rocher Branlant, a mysterious rock that moves when you push against it.
Walking & Cycling: Several routes start directly from the gîte. We have detailed maps ready for you!

Comfort & Hospitality at Les Glycines
We make every effort to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From fresh bread at breakfast to comprehensive information on the region, everything is provided.
🥐 Our Services
Fresh bread at the door: In July and August, enjoy our daily delivery service. Order your artisan baguettes, croissants or pains au chocolat in advance and start the day off right.
Always connected: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the estate and in each gîte.
Linen & Towels: We provide fresh bed linen and towels (small and large).
Please note: For the swimming pool and cots, please bring your own towels and bed linen.
🏡 Your Private Space & Tranquillity
Each of our three gîtes has two private terraces: one in the sun and one in the shade. So you will always choose the perfect spot. The terraces are fully equipped with garden furniture, parasols and a barbecue.
Our gîtes border a quiet country road (chemin) where only the postman passes every day; peace and quiet guaranteed!
Child-friendly & Well-equipped
For the little ones: we have cots, mattresses, high chairs and special children's cutlery and crockery available.
Kitchen: Each gîte has a fully equipped kitchen where you will lack nothing.
Relaxation: In the gîtes you will find a wide selection of books and board games. Did you know that the region around Parthenay is famous for the annual FLIP festival (the international games festival)? Moreover, our village is part of a board game specially designed for Deux-Sèvres (available on request).

🤝 Your host family
We ourselves live in the house at the end of the estate. We are always around to help you with tips for trips, restaurant reservations or simply to make sure you lack nothing.

5% discount for a booking of 2 weeks (14 days)
5% discount if you book 2 gites (together with Les Glycines or La Roche)
10% discount if you rent all three gites (Les Glycines, La Roche and Les Petites Pierres)
For guests who have been with us before (from 2010), we offer a 10% discount.
The rental includes - electricity, gas, bed linen, small towels and tea towels. Bath towels are not provided but can be rented - 15€ for 4 towels per week. For stays of 14 days+, we provide a second set of bed linen.
The deposit is due 10 weeks before arrival and is a guarantee against any breakage, damage, loss or breach of our Terms and Conditions - which we will send you on your booking request. It will be refunded within 7 days of your departure, less any necessary deductions.
Gites must be left in the same state of cleanliness and order as at the start of the holiday. Cleaning materials and equipment are provided in the property. Any damaged or broken items must be replaced or will be deducted from your deposit.
We are unable to accommodate pets and smoking is only allowed outdoors.
The owners live on site and are available to help with any problems regarding the Gite. We try to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, so if there are any problems, please report them to us as soon as possible so that we can rectify them promptly.
