The house
This former, fully renovated tobacco drying barn (Séchoir) has all the comforts for a wonderful stay.
In the charming Séchoir, a high-quality gîte has been created with a living room, a central fireplace and an open kitchen. On the first floor there are two 28m² suites, both with 160cm beds of 5-star hotel quality, 30cm thick memory foam mattresses for ultimate comfort. There is also a 160 cm wide sofa bed in each room, which can be converted into a comfortable bed. The suites have their own WC and bathroom with Italian-style double shower heads. Furthermore, the rooms have air conditioning and a flat-screen TV.
On the ground floor is a 3rd bedroom of 17 m² with a 160 cm bed, identical to the suites, its own Italian-style shower room, toilet and TV. Outside is a large private terrace of 60 m² with unobstructed views. There is garden furniture and sun loungers. You can also enjoy a private swimming pool (heated from April to September, depending on the temperature), and a private jacuzzi to make your stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible.

Your holiday home is located at the top of the commune of Carssac-Aillac, in the heart of the Perigord Noir triangle, 10 minutes from the village of Sarlat la Caneda.
Not far away are the caves of Lascaux, of the gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour and all kinds of castles to visit. A few minutes' drive from the Dordogne River with many water activities and nice places to go swimming.

Activities
Our 'Domaine de Campagnac' is located a few kilometres from the river Dordogne in the commune of Carsac-Aillac. The village of Carsac has a supermarket, drugstore, organic wine shop with the best Bergerac wines and a pizzeria.
Nature in the Dordogne is impressive and the Aquitaine region has a rich history and culture. Sarlat is a picturesque town in the heart of the Dordogne valley and is known for its medieval charm and beautiful architecture. Several festivals are organised during the summer months, such as the Festival des Jeux du Theatre (July and August) and the music festival Les Nuits de Nacre (late June). Sample black truffles, duck breast fillet, strawberries, walnut cake and foie gras from the Périgord at the lively markets in Sarlat, located less than 10 minutes' drive from our domaine.
For a more active holiday: grab a bike and explore the countryside via the Voie Verte - route along disused railway tracks; a canoe trip on the Dordogne or a hot-air balloon ride. Explore the caves at Lascaux or Domme. Visit one of the many castles (Castelnaud, Fénolon, Hautefort, Beynac or Les Milandes), combine it with a walk in the gardens of Eyrignac, Marqueyssac or the garden with water features in Carsac-Aillac.
For little adventurers, the Monkey's Forest in Carsac-Aillac is challenging. Animal lovers can go on an adventure at Aquarium Perigord Noir.
On our domaine, enjoy the relaxation area with heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna... Here, your stay is transformed into an invitation to relax and enjoy the many pleasures of the Périgord.
Domaine de Campagnac is a 40-minute drive from Brive; in the mid/high season. The airport in Bergerac is an hour and a half away, Bordeaux (2 hours and 30 minutes) and Toulouse (2 hours and 35 minutes).

The most beautiful place, in a stunning location. Perfectly situated in a peaceful, rural area, though close to the lovely town of Sarlat, lots of sites and things to do. Everything about the place is ideal, from the fantastic spa and swimming pool, to the immaculate and beautifully decorated rooms, and the friendliest, most welcoming hosts possible. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, I never wanted to leave!!

I am usually wary about glowing, gushing reviews but I find myself writing one. Le Domaine de campagnac is everything one could wish for in a holiday home. Isabelle and Pascal were welcoming, on hand if needed but never intrusive. The facilities in the gite were first rate and the whole property was one of beauty, peace and tranquillity, apart from the shouts of our grandchildren enjoying the pool. Our visit coincided with a heatwave, so we appreciated the shade, the thick walls ,( as well as the pool). The area offers a mulititude of activities: castles, cavemen and canoes; boat trips, buildings and bastides: not forgetting the gastronomy for which the Perigord noir is famous. I could go on but enough to say that Isa and Pascal have created(and are creating) an excellent gite; one we would be most happy to return to in the future.

Une villa spacieuse avec une décoration de goût. Les photos du site sont à l'image de la réalité voir mieux. Nous avions une piscine chauffée et privative avec un espace absolu aux alentours . Le domaine est magnifique, vraiment ! Les chambres sont propres et bien entretenues. Le "séchoir" est idéale pour des vacances aux calmes entre amis et famille. Merci pascal pour votre accueil! Vous nous avez guidé vers des villages et sites notamment le village Domme ou le panorama vaut le détour ! Nous avons déjà prévu de revenir ....
