The spacious kitchen is the heart of the accommodation: fully equipped for cooking together and spending long evenings at the table.
In the living room, overlooking the original wine cave, you can read, relax or enjoy the coolness that comes naturally from the old winery. The sofa bed offers extra sleeping space if needed.
The spacious double room has its own shower and toilet. All three rooms have their own outside door, allowing you to follow your own rhythm and step outside easily.
A special feature is the former wine cave - cool, atmospheric space. The temperature here stays consistently around 15 degrees. Ideal for cooling off during hot summer days, playing a game or simply opening the connecting doors so the natural coolness flows in.
In the garden you will find several terraces, both in the sun and in the shade. Plenty of places to have breakfast, read a book or end the day quietly.

The gîte of Fuga Verde is located in the middle of greenery, between medieval villages, caves and the Dordogne River. The garden, once created by biologists, has become a living bee and butterfly paradise. We are also working step by step to transform a meadow into an exciting forest meadow. We work with the principles of permaculture, both in the woodland meadow and the kitchen garden.
Coux beach is within walking distance and can also be reached by car (5 min). The terrace by the beach is open in the summer months.

Activities
The gîte is located in quiet, green surroundings in the heart of the Dordogne, about half an hour's drive from picturesque Sarlat. Here you are in the middle of (pre)historic sites, castles and medieval towns and villages that make this region so special.
Within walking distance is a beach on the Dordogne River (about 5 minutes by car), where you can swim, paddle or just enjoy the water and the sun.
The surroundings invite you to explore: hiking, canoeing, cycling routes at various levels, or wandering through ancient streets. There are also castles, local markets and special gardens to visit.
