We have two parking spaces on our own property: By the way, more cars can park along our property.

Large authentic holiday home in the Dordogne with swimming pool for exclusive use. The gîte is a renovated farmhouse built using the beautiful ochre yellow stones and in the characteristic style of this region, the Perigord Noir. Equipped with all kinds of modern conveniences, too.

Important feature: we have a fine swimming pool of 5 by 10 metres for private use, also suitable for smaller children. In addition, a large terrace with loungers and views over the valley. Very spacious living room of almost 50 m2 with large windows overlooking terrace and valley.

Lazing around: for true lazing around, we have strategically placed our Fatboy hammock with stand for you to enjoy the wide view of the valley. If the hammock is occupied, you can lie down in one of our 4 LaFuma recliners, you know, those 'tipping chairs' where your legs go up. Hoepla in the air.

Outdoor dining: in summer, you'll probably eat outside. Take your pick: OR on the terrace under the canopy on the valley side OR in the shade under the hundred-year-old lime trees overlooking the pool. Enjoy sitting at a large wooden table on long sturdy and well-sitting benches with backrests. Made by the same Philippe who also renovated the bathroom, shower, utility room and kitchen. We are extremely happy with it.

Kitchen: the kitchen was recently renovated. Modern kitchen furniture in cheerful yellow combines well with the rustic atmosphere of the living kitchen that we wanted to keep. The kitchen has an extra dining table for four, a large Perigordian fireplace containing a modern wood-burning stove, and adjoins the pantry (with sink and sink) which houses a second fridge with freezer compartment for drinks and/or vegetables, Miele washing machine, dryer, large convection oven and microwave. And a Philips airfryer for quick reheating of bread, roasting vegetables and nuts or a snack in between.

Kitchen inventory: five-burner gas cooker, large fridge with freezer compartment, extensive inventory available, more than enough pots and pans. Pepper, salt and spices just left for your convenience. Electric kettle. Coffee machines of your choice; Nespresso and Senseo but also a 'normal' filter coffee machine.

Living room: the spacious room is about 15 metres long, with a high beamed ceiling, thick stone walls and large windows. The furniture in the living room is comfortable, including an Italian designer sofa and a reclining chair. Dining table in the living room: the long dining table offers ample space for eight people and the two high chairs can be easily pushed up. There are sturdy modern chairs with good seating comfort and armrests. You will find a well-stocked bookcase with games and both Dutch and English books.

Fast internet via fibreglass: of course the whole house has free Wifi via fibreglass (fast!) and satellite TV. Working remotely is very well possible. There is a separate area in the living room with plenty of electricity connections. Whether you feel like it or not remains to be seen. I do it myself on a regular basis. If I feel like it.

Sleeping: one bedroom on the ground floor and three on the first floor. 'Chez Nous' has beds suitable for tall people: two double beds are 2.10 metres long. There are four bedrooms: three large ones upstairs and a smaller one, with a double box spring (160x200) downstairs. The largest bedroom has three box-spring single beds, the other two bedrooms have 180x210, 160x200 and an Auping double bed of 160x210 respectively. The three single beds are 90x200 in size.

Bath and shower: the modern bathroom is on the ground floor next to the bedroom and opposite is a separate shower room (with washbasin) which was recently renovated in the style of the bathroom.

Two WCs: there is a separate WC in the bathroom and another separate WC at senior-level next to the double bedroom on the ground floor.

Utility rooms: a utility room with sink and sink, oven, microwave, extra fridge, washing machine and dryer. Another room for hanging coats and bags, the oak cupboard with cleaning utensils, hoover and ironing board.
