The house
The house is very charming and because of the major renovation in 2014 equipped with all modern conveniences. The house has a lot of privacy with its own swimming pool of 11 x 5 metres and outdoor shower (hot). The terrain has many places to enjoy reading a book or to be active. We offer various possibilities for entertainment (table tennis, badminton, jeu de boules) and you can make beautiful walks and cycle tours from the house. There are two beautiful terraces: a very spacious terrace at the back and a covered terrace in front of the house. There is plenty of shade and sunshine, and everyone can retreat to their own space or play games together or enjoy delicious food and fine wines.
The house consists of a living room, a kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is comfortably equipped for 2 to 6 people. There is also a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, satellite TV and free wifi.
Linen can be rented extra, but you can also bring your own. Pets are allowed after consultation.

The house is still just in the Perigord Pourpre (purple the colour of the wine) and on the edge of a small "hamlet" called Lentignac which is part of the municipality of Sainte Alvère.

We hebben heerlijk genoten van ons verblijf in Acacia, het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, heerlijk groot zwembad ideaal met kinderen. Ook heel goed gelegen om allerlei stadjes te bezoeken zoals Bergerac, Sarlat, Perigeux en ook voor marktjes te doen zoals Le Bugue, Saint Cyprien, Lalinde enz. Mocht je een Motor hebben twijfel niet en doe hem mee de Dordogne is DE ideale plaats voor wie houdt van bochtige wegen. En bij Acacia kan je hem mooi onder de carport plaatsen. Restaurants, food & wine
The region is known for its delicious restaurants (starred or not) where you can have lunch or dinner. There are also many wine-tasting opportunities and evening (food) markets where it is always very nice. For the foodie enough to do!
Activities
The house is quiet but not isolated, but in the immediate vicinity is much to do, such as visiting caves including gouffre de Proumeyssac, gouffre de Lascaux and gouffre de Rouffignac, or chateaus, such as Castelnaud, Beynac and Milandes (Josephine Baker). In addition, there are the weekly markets, the flea markets and especially the evening markets (marché nocturnes) are very cosy and where you can also eat well. Horse riding and tennis are also possible in the vicinity.
For golf lovers, 15 minutes from the house is the most beautiful golf course in the Dordogne, namely La Marterie in Saint Felix de Reillac, Golf in Perigueux and Lolivarie in Saint Germain de Belvès.
For families with children there is a nice children's paradise at 15 minutes from the house where you can spend a day and there is also a survival park Indian Forest at camping le Mondou at 1 hour from the house. The area is besides its wines also known for its truffles. Right next to the house are truffle trees, les truffières, where in winter the truffles are searched for with a dog. The truffles are traded every Monday morning in Sainte Alvère for 1,000 euros or more per kilo. Also outside the summer season it is beautiful here and you can enjoy the peace, space and wooded nature.
