The house
Gîte for 2 persons situated in the main building overlooking the garden.
This gîte is located in the former winery and the walls here and there still consist of the original old stones. With its double height, this gîte has been beautifully renovated into a charming abode.
Fitted kitchenette with all necessary facilities (kitchen towels, coffee maker, microwave, cooker, essential spices...) and space for table and chairs
Comfortable sofa, central heating and a wood-burning stove to make it cosy during the cooler periods
A double door leads you to your own private little garden, completely walled in with the original stone. Here there is plenty of room to snuggle up in a lounge chair and enjoy the peace and sunshine. The garden is equipped with table, chairs and barbecue
On the open loft (via stairs) is a double king-size bed with separate bathroom/toilet. The bathroom is small but cosy ;-)
This very bright and pleasant gîte is very popular among our guests.
Bed and bath linen is included in the price. Do bring your own towel for the swimming pool (please do not use towels from the gîte). You can rent a pool towel if necessary .

Our gîte is located at the end of a hamlet and is almost completely surrounded by vineyards and garden/forest. The gîte is located in the converted barn and is attached to another gîte. The gîte has a private terrace. We are located a 30-km drive from Bordeaux and in the vicinity of the A10 and N10 motorways.
All major facilities such as bakery, supermarket, shops are at 3.5 km.

Bordeaux is the region par excellence to let you indulge in culinary pleasures. When it comes to wine, the many chateaus are only too happy to introduce you to their product and let you taste it.
A Côte de Bourg, a Côte de Blaye, a real Haute Medoc...? Discover your favourite. And don't forget to taste a Crémant de Bordeaux.
Come and enjoy all the local specialities of the region: Cannelés de Bordeaux, Gironde fish, duck, pâtés, asparagus, ....
In the vicinity of the cottage, there are several possibilities to go out for dinner when you don't want to cook yourself. From Pizzeria to extensive dining, it is all possible.
Activities
The gîte is quietly located but close to all kinds of activities.
City golf, surfing, windsurfing, cycling, walking, kayaking (Dordogne), children's amusement park (La Coccinelle), near a large pond (Saint Christoly de Blaye) with activities (playground, boats, restaurant...).
The Atlantic Ocean is an hour's drive away. This beautiful coastline offers kilometres of white sandy beaches, cosy seaside resorts (e.g. Cap Ferret, Lacanau, Montalivet,...) and beach fun for everyone. Inland, you can discover beautiful bicycle routes.
Be sure to visit one of the many vineyards in the region. You can also visit them on an electric scooter. In the Haute Medoc you will find the famous names of Chateau Margaux, St Estephe, Rotschild, etc...
Take a trip to Bordeaux (at 30 km) (to be visited with a guided tour, on foot or by bike), Saint Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac, the seaside resort Royan or Arcachon.
A visit to Dune de Pilat, the highest dune in Europe, is more than worthwhile.
Historical history close by with the Citadel of Blaye (UNESCO), the pre-historic caves (underground and above-ground), the many castles and cave dwellings in the area
On our 2.7 ha site, we have a 6-hole miniature golf, a double petanque court, a large swimming pool, a ping-pong table, a trampoline, children's toys,... and 2 donkeys who like to be petted.
