The house
La Josselyn, is our largest 2x bed cottage. It has a wonderful homely feel, with good well equipped kitchen with a range cooker, painted stand alone kitchen units, dishwasher, washing machine and a large farmhouse table, a great place for a family to eat and spend time together.
The lounge has deep comfy sofas, a double sided (2nd side into the kitchen) woodburning stove, a Sat Tv,m Dvd player and Wi Fi.
Travelling upstairs to a large airy hallway into large master bedroom, with King size comfortable bed, agood size bathroom, with a slipper bath, a separate shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin.
The 2nd bedroom has twin beds, with views over the front garden down to the Lake.
From the lounge you have a door to the back garden, with a seating area with outside table and chairs and BBQ in front of our wonderful 10 x 5 meter swimming pool, with lots of loungers as well as large sunshades. For safety our swimming pool is fitted with an alarm.

The cottages are set in approximately 1 and half acres of their own grounds, with the front gardens landscaped and a lazy meandering path leading to the road, which is a stones throw from Lake Mondon (see below for amenities)
Our back garden has been transformed by a 10m x 5m in ground swimming pool (4ft deep) and sunbathing terrace, there are shingled outside areas for each cottage where hours can be spent relaxing and rejuvenating or reading a book, with a glass of wine under the shade of huge parasols.
There are local shops and supermarkets with a 5 miles radius, or for the larger supermarket there is La Souterraine or St Benoit.
Our cottages are approximately a 10 minute drive from Junction 22 of the A20.

Rustig prettig schoon en ruim huis met een heerlijk zwembad in een rustige streek in Midden Frankrijk, we hebben ervan genoten. Mooie plekjes om te bekijken zijn Gargilesse Dampiere, Le Dorat, Mortemart en zeker ook Montrol-Senard.

There are two restaurants / bars overlooking Lake Mondon, both within a few minutes walk of our cottages
Activities
For the slightly more adventurous, just a 2 minute walk away, opposite the lake is a communal swimming pool with waterslides. On the lake there are pedaloes for hire and in the peak season there are often donut boat rides. This site also offers tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts and boules. (all these amenities for a nominal fee)
There are also many stunning wooded walks along the banks of the river La Benaize, with waterfalls and prehistoric rocks (dolman), where you will find an abundance of wildlife.
For the fishing enthusiast a `carte de peche` can be purchased for a half / full day or weekly ticket.
