The house
In the middle of the sloping Limousin landscape lies this attractive 4-person gite. Between the rolling green hills with their famous red-brown cows, you will find plenty of space, peace and even complete silence. At night you will experience deep darkness or brilliant starry skies. Directly from the cottage you can make walks over old cart tracks and cycling trips over curvy country roads.
In 2010, the former stable was transformed into a gîte. The characteristic facades were combined with modern comfort.
The gîte has an attractive living room of approximately 40 m2 with an open kitchen, dining table and sitting area with a comfortable sofa bed. There is a wood stove for the colder period of the year. From this living area there is direct access to the private terrace overlooking the surrounding meadows. The master bedroom has a double bed, but is large enough to accommodate a cot as well. In the second bedroom there is a bunk bed for older children. The modern bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet.
On the site is a swimming lake with a sandy beach. Here you can swim in the cool spring water. This is a dug-out lake which we empty and clean every year, so that no fish swim in it. Children can play to their heart's content on the enclosed grounds at the end of the dead-end country road. There is a swing, slide, football goal, (badminton) field, sandy beach, trampoline and enough land to run around freely or to play. In addition, various toys are available. In the cottage is a folder with various walking and cycling routes and information about tourist trips in the area. And otherwise we can surely give you some nice tips !
Pets are not welcome in the gite. It is also not allowed to smoke inside.

Thanks to its hilly nature and pleasant climate, the Limousin is an excellent place to be active. The small winding roads through small hamlets where hardly any cars drive, but also the forests, invite you for a nice walking or cycling tour. There are various marked paths and routes, but with a good map, you will also come a long way. Experience the peace, the scents and the colours of this beautiful landscape.

Heerlijk verblijf van twee weken gehad. Gastvrij ontvangen en leuk contact met de eigenaren. Genoten van het meertje, de ruimte en de rust. De stad Limoges is een aanrader (bijvoorbeeld voor een regenachtige dag). In de omgeving zijn voldoende zwem meertjes om je te vermaken. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug !

Prachtige omgeving en dat alles te ontdekken vanuit een fantastisch huis met een prachtig uitzicht. We hebben genoten van de gezellige, echt Franse, sfeer.
De faciliteiten waren prima en wij vonden de Infomap compleet en uitnodigend.
We hoorden weer hoofdzakelijk vogels fluiten.
Helaas was het soms te regenachtig en/of te fris om een duik te nemen in de mooie natuurvijver.

We hebben onze voorjaarsvakantie hier door gebracht. Eigenlijk valt er niets op aan te merken...gîte is erg mooi. Bed was goed...prima badkamer...keuken compleet…fijne huiskamer met geweldige kachel.
Het was die week een beetje fris omdat de wind verkeerd stond maar wat is er dan leuker dan houtkachel stoken!
We mochten zoveel hout nemen als we wilde.
Verder, een fantastisch uitzicht!!! Wat een mooi plekje hebben Jeroen en Inge daar gecreëerd.
Goede uitvalsbasis om het e.e.a. te gaan bekijken ( in de gîte zijn volop brochures aanwezig wat er te bezichtigen is in de omgeving/ activiteiten voor elk wat wils)
Het is een echt paradijsje in een hele mooie streek. Heerlijk de rust en ruimte…en…die stilte.. geweldig!

Experience the Limousin, its way of life and its inhabitants at the region's many markets. Throughout the year, there are markets in many villages and towns where everything is for sale. From regional products like honey or sausages to chickens, ducks and even tractors. Markets are important social occasions where people talk a lot and drink an aperitif together at the appropriate buffet. Besides the regular markets, there are also many special markets such as flea markets (vide greniers), markets with only local products or local crafts.
Activities
There is plenty of water in the Limousin. Many villages have a beautiful swimming lake with a beach, often with a lifeguard during the summer months. There are also a few large lakes like Lac de Vassiviëre or Lac de Saint Pardoux where you can sail, surf and water-ski. The Vienne runs straight through the Limousin. On this fast-flowing river, you can go kayaking, canoeing or trout fishing.
You can also play golf here. Experience the peace and quiet on the various golf courses in the Limousin. Often, there are no starting times or stressful caddymasters who urge you to hurry. Golfing as it was meant to be played. Playing at your own pace, fast or slow, on beautiful natural sloping courses where the green is usually not even visible from the tee! And after 9 holes or afterwards, enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. But beware: the Dutch courses will disappoint you after your return!
In the nearby Treignac you can also Parasail. With a parachute (and an instructor) you can jump off the mountain and enjoy the landscape in a very special way!
