The house
Step inside a modern air-conditioned holiday home, within the characteristic contours of an old barn. Think beautiful beamed ceilings, natural materials and surprising details. The living space is bright and spacious, with a cosy seating area for lounging, a fine dining table for long game nights, and a kitchen that invites you to cook.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, each with their own charm and beautiful views over the fields. The children's bedroom has a cosy box bed as well as a separate bed, ideal for a third child. Unwind in a charming mix of old and new. The bathroom is spacious and modern, with a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.

Located on the border of Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne, less than 20 minutes from Bergerac airport.
Villa Lafage is surrounded by "bastides", these medieval fortified towns are among the most beautiful villages in France. Stroll through the narrow streets of Villeréal, Issigeac or Monflanquin. And reminisce with a cool glass of wine on one of the cosy terraces.
At the local markets, enjoy intense aromas and colours. Fresh garlic, countless types of cheese and organically grown vegetables. This is where you buy the finest fresh local produce. For other shopping you can go to the Intermarché supermarket in Villeréal or Castillonnès (5 km). There are also petrol stations here.
Historic Bergerac, Sarlat and Agen are the big towns in the area. Here you can browse around the 'brocante' and see the beautiful historic buildings. There are lovely shops and interesting sights.

Restaurants, food & wine
About half an hour's drive from Lafage, towards the Dordogne, there are plenty of castles and wine estates to visit. Here you can taste and buy wines. From the Bergerac Sec to the measly Monbazillac. Our favourite wine comes from Chateau Monderys, highly recommended!
The numerous gastronomic restaurants in the area are pure indulgence for your taste buds. The paradise of truffles, cèpes, goose liver and duck confit. We have already previewed the tastiest locations for you!

Painting workshop
Every week, owner Marcella organises an inspiring painting workshop for big and small. A great way to create special holiday memories together with your family!
Visiting castles
Chateau Bridoire is a great castle to visit with children, there are medieval games to play (highly recommended!) Château Bonaguil has fun souvenir shops on the route. And at Château Biron, children can make their own shields.
Walking and cycling
There are well-prepared walking and cycling tours in the area. Ranging from a few kilometres to a day-long activity. A nice walk starts from Villa Lafage, also good for children. Discover the immediate surroundings of Bournel via the old Roman road, along exciting forest paths and through the fields.
On the water
Canoe trips from 7 to 22 km are available on the Dordogne River. You pass centuries-old castles and medieval villages. Along the way, you will enjoy the beautiful nature. Or rent a boat at Tremolat and spend an afternoon wake-boarding or water-skiing. Also fun for children, even from 4 years old.
History
An hour's drive from Lafage, you can visit several prehistoric sites. Especially interesting and educational, not only for children! Like the caves of Lascaux where world-famous wall paintings were found.
Golf
Nearby are several beautiful golf courses such as Golf de Vigier at 45 km, Tombeboeuf at 30 km, and Castelnaud at 25 km, suitable for both the beginner and the professional.
Horse riding
Nearby, you can go horse riding or take the children on a fun donkey ride. A very nice way to discover the area. Bring a picnic for on the way!
Parc en Ciel
Adventure among the treetops at Parc en Ciel. A day of climbing and scrambling for all levels. There is also a swimming lake, mini golf and a snack bar.

The price of the accommodation is per week. Including made beds, towels, service costs (gas, water and electricity) final cleaning and reservation costs. Pets are welcome by arrangement, we charge €50 per stay. Welcome meal on request, €25 per adult and €12.50 per child (appetiser, oven dish, salad, baguette, dessert, bottle of wine, juice/limo for children). Tourist tax € 0.94 per person per night (from 18 years of age). Cots and high chairs are available free of charge. Departures and arrivals on Saturdays.
