The house
After a complete renovation in 2023, our first gîtes will be available for rental from April 2024! We have decorated the 100-year-old Gîtes Beau Chene in a rustic and cosy atmosphere, reusing authentic parts and materials.
We named Gîtes Beau Chene after the ancient oak tree that stands in our farmyard and which you look down on from the gîtes, a beautiful eye-catcher!
From the terrace you have a great view over the sloping landscape with magnificent sunsets. Around the gîtes a spacious lawn and a cherry orchard overlooking our flowers and vegetable garden ! From the gîtes we have made a footpath to our opposite neighbours (Bassiviere Barn Chic) where you can enjoy lunch and dinner in their lovely restaurant. La Carretal; is a working farm, we are busy in the vegetable garden our future little park or in the shed. Come check us out if you have a minute to spare, we love it!
The gîtes is a spacious 4-person house with a nice entrance/reading room, a large living room with wood stove, open kitchen, two bedrooms with large double good beds, bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet and a huge covered terrace with bbq, garden furniture, hammock, outdoor shower and outdoor toilet.

Beste Ingrid &Bob bedankt voor de hartelijke welkom in de prachtige met liefde gerenoveerde Gites Beau Chêne met alles erop en eraan. Wij hebben op de mooie veranda genoten van het mooie weidse uitzicht. We vonden de roofvogels geweldig. Bloemen plukken in de pluktuin.In de omgeving leuke dorpjes en marktjes. We hebben ons daar mede door jullie thuis gevoeld. Dank jullie wel en absoluut tot ziens!

Jullie zijn hartelijke gastvrouw/-heer. Zo open, wij voelden ons direct welkom.
De gites is met veel liefde gerenoveerd. De inrichting is gezellig en compleet inclusief heerlijke bedden. Overal stonden prachtige veldboeketten.
Rust, ruimte met fenomenale uitzicht is gegarandeerd. Wij hebben iedere avond genoten van de prachtige zonsondergang. In de omgeving - m.n. in de bastide dorpen - is genoeg te zien/doen.
Kortom wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Een aanrader!

La Carretal is surrounded by many beautiful Bastide villages, Villereal, Monflanquin, Monpazier with their cosy markets and brocante and many activities in summer. The castles of Biron, Bonaquil are nearby. Around La Carretal are many beautiful walking and cycling routes. Two beautiful golf courses, swimming lakes, climbing forest, fishing lakes, water sports, wine tasting, horse riding etc. it is all in the immediate vicinity.
