The house
Lasclottes is a 19th century rural riverside french farmhouse which has been traditionally renovated and luxuriously furnished with an eye for detail.
Upstairs bursts with character, from large beams and oak window seats to exposed stone walls and parquet flooring in all the 4 large upstairs bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en-suites and the other two bedrooms share a generous size bathroom. Downstairs there are an additional 3 bedrooms, 2 large doubles 1 with an en-suite shower room and sitting room which forms an annexe and has an interconnecting door to the holiday acommodation and 1 large twin, there is a beautifully decorated shower room with toilet and hand basin which serves the other 2 bedrooms. The furniture has been sympathetically chosen to compliment the era of the house, yet has all the modern facilities to make your holiday truly relaxing.
There is an open plan kitchen/diner/living area, a beautifully restored lounge, a second kitchen/sitting area and a veranda overlooking the garden. The patio doors from the living area open out towards the swimming pool and the land beyond which gently slopes down to the river and two man-made pontoons, one is ideal for relaxing and has spectacular views up towards the Basilica on the hilltop village of Penne d'Agenais and the other is perfect for fishing with the river being over 100m wide at this point.. There is a large swimming pool, alfresco dining and several games areas.
The whole house has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, from chilling with friends and family to relaxing down by the river or having fun in the pool, we believe that we have created the ultimate holiday experience.

Lasclottes is situated within 5 acres of land which gently slopes down to 150m of river frontage. There are an abundance of fruit and walnut trees, a games area (including Pool, Table Tennis and a Football table), an area to play badminton and another to play pétanque. The views are far reaching up to the hillside Basilica in Penne d'Agenais, surrounded by fields, there are no near neighbours and it is accessed via a private lane. The local town of St Sylvestre is a 10 minute walk away, where there is a colourful Chateau in beautiful grounds it boasts to have the biggest crazy golf in Europe and there are 3 restaurants which cater for all dietary needs. In the centre of the village there is a local supermarket, a restaurant by the river and a variety of shops. For those that crave more activity, the larger town of Villeneuve is a 15 minute drive away, it has a large variety of shops, bars and restaurants, a local market twice a week and music evenings by the river in the summer months.

We took our 2 children (6&4) and they had the best time
There was so much to do around the area as well as on site too. My little boy loved going fishing with his daddy and my little girl loved the pool
The whole environment of the stay was perfect - relaxed atmosphere but close enough to amenities and theme park and water park for the kids too
Sally and Colin made us feel so at home and nothing was too much for them

A lovely, quiet place to spend a (covid-proof) vacation with family. The kids and adults loved playing in the pool, supping on the river and roaming the grounds. The house is cool and comfortable, and has everything you need to entertain a group of people. The owners, Collin and Sally, are very friendly and helpful. We had a great summer holiday!

WOW, this place is absolutely stunning. We visited for 1 week with our 4 and 7 year old. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and inviting and the bathrooms are lovely and look brand new. The garden and land surrounding the property are just stunning. The grounds are well kept and child friendly. The pool was lovely and warm, it was also very clean and the pool area was perfect for relaxing.
The pool looks over a large field that runs down to the river which you can view from the decked areas, perfect for a peaceful morning coffee! There is ample parking here, tucked to the side of the property. In the surrounding areas there are many shops for food and other products. There is also a small water park for the children just 5 minutes drive away into the village of Penne D’agenais which was less than €10 for all of us for the whole day. There is also a gorgeous chateau with gardens and crazy golf near by, a beautiful riverside town just 15 minutes drive away, a few places to hire boats down the road and a theme park 45 minutes away.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants locally and in the summer months each village holds a night market, which involves lots of eating, drinking and dancing to a live band.
Activities
There are plenty of opportunities locally to have an action packed holiday or just to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that surrounds Lasclottes.
The Tour de France is passing through Villeneuve sur Lot on the 11th and 12th July 2024, for cycling enthusiasts this is not to be missed!
