The house
Kitchen and dining
The kitchen is well equipped with a fitted gas hob and an electric oven, microwave, coffee-machine, fridge-freezer, a selection of herbs and spices, salt and pepper and all the cooking utensils required to cook a family meal. A dining table with 4 chairs.
Living rooms
The living area has a 3 seater sofa and there are 2 wicker chairs. There is a small flat screen tv and dvd player, it is connected to Freesat Sky tv and French tv.
Bedrooms
There are 2 bedrooms, on the second floor there is the first bedroom, with a double bed (137cm x 190cm), a built-in wardrobe, 2 bedside tables with lamps, a dressing table, a full length mirror and hair dryer. This room has a juliet balcony.
On the third floor you have a bedroom with 2 single beds (90cm x 190cm), 2 bedside tables and lamps, a dressing table, chest of drawers and a free standing wardrobe. This room has an en suite and a hair dryer.
Bathrooms
On the second floor there is a shower room, with a cubicle shower, toilet and wash basin.
On the third floor you have the en suite with a toilet, washbasin and a bath.

Ideally situated for the Loire valley and Vienne regions, with their many vineyards, chateaux, historic towns and attractions. We are five minutes from the small town of Descartes, birth place of the philosopher, with its many shops, banks, cafes, restaurants and supermarket.

We hebben hier met ons gezin met twee kinderen een heerlijke week doorgebracht. Het huis is ruim, super schoon en echt alles is aanwezig. De tuin is prachtig, in de omgeving is van alles te doen: kastelen, leuke dorpjes, mooie natuur. De gastvrouw is heel vriendelijk, kortom: een echte aanrader !

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many restaurants in the area to suit taste and pocket, from michelin starred to tiny village auberges, full information on nearby restaurants provided in the Gite.
We are thirty minutes from Chinon with its many vineyards and close to many other vineyards throughout the Loire region, ideal for tasting and buying some of the great wines the region has to offer.
Activities
We have the River Creuse at the bottom of our garden, ideal for fishing. Bike hire can be arranged thought Bike Hire Direct. We are 40 minutes drive from Futuroscope, a great day out for all the family. There are lots of hiking and bike trails in the area, information and routes provided in the Gite. Riding stables within 20 minutes drive. In Descartes just 5 minutes drive away there is a water park and a kayak centre where you can hire kayaks for boating on the Creuse. In our actual village of St Remy Sur Creuse, within walking distance of us, we have Ethni City, troglodyte caves that you can visit and learn about their history through the ages. Just a 30 minute drive away at St Cyr there is a large lake with a sandy beach, water bird sanctuary, picnic area and lots of activities, next to it is a lovely 18 hole golf course with an excellent restaurant.
