The house
The gite is fully equipped and offers a modern interior that exudes comfort and style. Enjoy a cosy living room with TV and wifi, a fully equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms with each room having a double bed of 160 x 200 cm. with the possibility of two single beds. There is also the bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
From the living room, through the garden doors, you enter the terrace in the enclosed garden with many shaded areas and a beautiful view of the surroundings.
You have private use of the heated pool so you can take a refreshing splash! Perfect for hot summer days or just to enjoy a relaxing moment in one of the sun loungers provided.

Escape the daily rush and discover the peace and beauty of our gite "Artige 1908" located in the hamlet of Artige about 4 km from the town of Saint Savin sur Gartempe in the Vienne department.
The gite is a former "bergerie" and is separated from our home by a barn which guarantees the privacy of our guests. There is a separate entrance and private parking.

In the village of Saint Savin, there are a number of restaurants of different price ranges. So there is something for everyone. These are located on small squares or on the main square overlooking the Abbey. For an even wider choice you can go to the surrounding towns, Montmorillon, Le blanc etc....
In Chauvigny, Cité Médiévale will take you back in time while having your a meal.
Activities
Holidays in the French countryside 'a la campagne
A lazy holiday with a splash in the swimming pool or in the nearby Gartempe river, a walking or cycling tour among the fields in the countryside, reading a book in the shady garden or visiting one of the many old villages in the area, enjoy!
In the centre of Saint Savin, right next to the church with its beautiful frescos, you will find an abbey from the 13th century which is listed on the Unesco world heritage list. You can get fresh croissants or baguettes from one of the bakers, there is an Intermarche supermarket for all your shopping needs and there are several restaurants and bars/terraces.
There are regular tourist markets in the area, in neighbouring Chauvigny there is a market every Saturday morning where you can buy lots of local produce and fresh vegetables, highly recommended.
The cities of Poitiers, Tours and Limoges with their historical sights are easy to reach by car.
There are the necessary amusement parks nearby including the Futuroscope in Poitiers.
