Entry is through the large veranda, where there is room to dine or sit and relax. It comprises:
Sitting/dining area – is light and airy, with a wood burning stove for the winter months.
Bedroom 1 – a double bedroom leading from the sitting/dining area and up two steps. This bedroom has a large window with wonderful views of the garden and mountains beyond.
Kitchen – leads off from the living area and includes a four ring gas hob, dishwasher, combination microwave and fridge freezer.
Shower room – with shower, hand basin, WC and heater/heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2 – with two single beds.

Twenty minutes from Carcassonne and a ten-minute walk into the historic medieval village of Caunes-Minervois with its Vineyards, Restaurants, Bars and Shops (Supermarket, Butcher, Bakery Pharmacy) & 9th century Abbey as well as a host of local artists, galleries and artisans Au Pont Romain is the perfect place to enjoy all that Aude and the south of France has to offer.

Wine domains abound in the area so you can sample many local wines both from Caunes and the wider area.
Activities
Set in the foothills of the Montagne Noire, we are excellently placed for hiking, walking and cycling. Alternatively there are waterparks and lakes nearby as well as the famous Canal du Midi, within an ours drive you will also find many historic sites to visit.
