The house
Cosy and nicely decorated flat, "Vent Marin", situated in a beautiful 19th century wine estate. The flat, is very comfortably furnished with the preservation of authentic elements, consisting of: a spacious bedroom with a double bed of 1m60 by 1m90, separate toilet, a bathroom with shower and washbasin, a second bathroom with bath and washbasin, sitting room with comfortable sofa bed for 2 persons of 1m40 by 1m90. Television with USB connection, DVD/Blu Ray/TV Vlaanderen and internet connection are available. Furthermore, there is a fully equipped kitchen with vitroceramic hob, oven, microwave and coffee machine. From the private terrace of 16m² you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding vineyards and the hills of Limoux and Razès. You can also enjoy the surrounding park or the swimming pool with surrounding terrace. The domain is very quietly situated, amidst the vineyards, with a beautiful private park. Yet you are only 2 minutes away from the lively town of Limoux, famous for its delicious sparkling wine, its gastronomy and its festivities.
There is also a large car park - a garage for bicycles and motorcycles and a charging point for electric cars (7kw).

The domain, La Monèze Basse, is quietly situated in the middle of Cathar country, a stone's throw from the bustling town of Limoux, known for its sparkling wine, its gastronomy, its carnival, its Tour de France (starting stage 15 July 2012) and its festivities. La Monèze Basse, located in a haven of peace between mountain and sea, and surrounded by vineyards. Discover the history of Cathar country, with its numerous castles, abbeys and medieval villages, and its walled city of Carcassonne. The taste buds are also in for a treat here. Do you like to taste wine? No problem at all. The domain is situated in the middle of the largest wine regions of France, with as most famous ones: Corbières, Minervois, Razès, Limoux (Blanquette de Limoux), Malpère and Cabardès. Furthermore, you can enjoy the many local delicacies, such as cassoulet, foie gras, magret de canard, truffles, or something sweeter like the nougat of Limoux. To discover and taste all these things, there are nice little markets every day (e.g.: market in the medieval town of Mirepoix), as well as seasonal markets such as the truffle markets during the winter months, 'Toques et Clochers' in spring (to discover the Blanquette de Limoux), etc.
Given the central location of the domain, you can enjoy many nature sports: kayaking (in Alet les Bains), rafting (in Axat), mountainbiking (in Limoux), fishing (in Limoux), skiing (Ax-les-Thermes and Mont d'Olmes), caving (caves of Agazou and Cabrespine), and hiking (there are many marked hiking trails throughout the Haute Vallée de l'Aude, with possibility to start from the domain). Nearby (max. 30 minutes by car): climbing, swimming, golfing, hiking, mountainbiking, cycling, horseback riding, (gliding) flying, sailing, pedalos, etc.
At 45 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea and close to the Pyrenees, with its many hiking trails and ski slopes.
