The house
Surrounded by fruit trees and vineyards, between Nîmes, Avignon and Arles, a stone's throw from the Pont du Gard, Alpilles or the Camargues, you will find Domaine des Chênes Truffiers, a very quiet estate for 18 people.
"Mas des Chênes" is the large house for 14 people and is equipped with every comfort with a spacious kitchen, outdoor kitchen (barbecue and plancha), dining room (for 18p) and lounge. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with a double bed and private bathroom that gives direct access to the terrace. On the upper floor there are 4 bedrooms: a first bedroom with a double bed, a baby cot and private bathroom, a second bedroom with a double bed, a single bed and private bathroom, a third bedroom with a double bed, a fourth bedroom with 3 bunk beds. There is also a spacious separate bathroom with step-in shower, bathtub and 2 sinks on the first floor. Each floor has a toilet. The house is equipped with Wifi, air conditioning, and shutters. Outside, you enter the covered terrace, ideal for aperitifs or dining in warm weather. A step further is the courtyard garden with large lime trees and plenty of shady spots. Further in the meadow, among the truffle oaks, is the children's playground.
The swimming pool of 5 by 10 metres lies between the large house and the smaller gîte du nourriguier, and is open from the beginning of May to the end of September. The pool has a "ploeter" area for the little ones and all around there is a spacious plage for enjoying the sun.
"Gite du Nourriguier" is the smaller gite, for 4 people, on the first floor of the renovated barn, and is south-west facing, for enjoying the sunsets. The gite has two bedrooms ( one with a double bed, one with 2 single beds), a bathroom, kitchen, lounge and spacious terrace on the first floor. You will find pleasant shady spots under the terrace and plane tree.
The property is 7.5 hectares, fully fenced, you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the many bird species, impressive sunrises or sunsets, and beautiful starry skies.
For the children there is a ping-pong table, plenty of space for jeux de boules, a trampoline and a playground .

Domaine des Chênes Truffiers is situated between the cities of Avignon - Nimes - Arles, in the town of Beaucaire (Gard - Languedoc Roussillon). The domain is the ideal holiday spot to (re)discover Provence.
For practical, everyday provisions, you will find a supermarket and bakery 10 minutes from the domain.
Nature walks, Provencal markets, historical centres, Roman remains such as the Pont du Gard, the famous mill of Alphonse Daudet as well as the many wine cellars where you can stop for a wine tasting, it is all within a stone's throw from Domaine des Chênes Truffiers.
A few kilometres further on, you can visit the impressive site of Les Baux, the Provencal town of St Rémy, the impressive castle of Tarascon or Arles' amphitheatre.
You can enjoy the vastness and unspoilt nature of the Camargues, with its wild horses, bulls, flamingos and endless beaches.
For a day trip, you have the choice between Aix en Provence, Avignon, Nimes, the lost villages of the Luberon or Marseille with its Calanques.

Activities
At Domaine des Chênes Truffiers, you can first and foremost enjoy peace and quiet. The domain is 7.5 hectares, and far from any light or noise pollution. It is an ideal bird-watching spot, or a spot to admire beautiful starry skies.
The small roads on the Plaine de Beaucaire offer the opportunity to make beautiful cycling or walking trips close to home. Via the "Rhone-Sête" canal, you can cycle or walk as far as the little port of Beaucaire.
For great walks, you can go to the Alpilles, the Montagnettes, the Camargues or the Cévennes.
Golf enthusiasts can indulge themselves, either in the golf of Nîmes Campagne, a 15-minute drive away. The golf of Les Baux de Provence 'Domaine Manville' is a half-hour drive away.
For adrenaline rushes, Monteux, near Avignon, is the place to be. There you have both the Parc Spirou amusement park and the Wave Island water park.
Gliding is possible around the small flying port of the Aéroclub of Saint Remy les Alpilles. Parachuting is possible near Nîmes (Courbessac) or near Avignon (Pujaut).

Rent includes both the Mas des Chênes (the big house) and the gîte du Nourriguier (smaller gîte).
Included in the rental price is a flat rate for electricity of 58kwh HP and 28 kw HC per day. Any excess of this flat rate will be invoiced according to the current EDF rates.
Tourist tax is €1.10 per person per night (from 13 years of age).
For stays of 4 nights or more, linen and towels are provided. For shorter periods, you can rent them if necessary.

Merveilleuses vacances en famille, domaine idéale, bien équipé, au calme, accueil au top!

Bij aankomst werden wij hartelijk verwelkomd door de eigenaars Katrijn, Fré en de 3 kinderen met inbegrepen een verrassingsmand aangeboden door het huis met fijne drank- en streekproducten. De woning voldeed helemaal zoals vermeld op de site, alles was aanwezig. Mas de Chênes , evenals de Gite du Nourriguier zijn zeer charmante verblijven die ons gezin reeds diverse jaren heeft bezocht; beide woningen zijn gelegen op een groot terrein van een 7-tal ha, hebben een mooi uitzicht op de Alpilles en de omliggende wijngaarden en fruitbomen. De Mas heeft 2 mooie zwembaden die dagelijks worden onderhouden, zijn ook kindvriendelijk ( met alarm ) , rustig gelegen in en rond de mooie omgeving van bloemen, mooie natuur en bomen.
Recent bezochten we dit maal de Gite du Nourriguier en ook deze woning biedt alle comfort. Onze bevinding : heel de streek in en rond de Alpilles is een aanrader voor mensen die houden van uitstapjes, wandelen en fietsen. In de onmiddellijke omgeving van Beaucaire vind je mooie dorpjes als Saint Rémy de Provence, Fontveille, Les Baux, Maussane, Gordes, Pont Du Gard, Arles, Avignon, Nimes, Les Saintes Maries de la Mer ed. Ook aan kleurrijke lokale marktjes met streekproducten is er geen nood, die zijn op korte afstand dagelijks te vinden de onmiddellijke omgeving. Wijn liefhebbers komen er zeker aan hun trekken en het Provençaalse eten is er steeds te genieten !
Kortom, het is er leuk vertoeven voor een aangenaam en ontspannen verblijf; een aanrader en de perfecte bestemming voor een gezinsvakantie.

Wij hadden in juli van dit jaar een fantastische vakantie met ons voltallig gezin van 19 personen.Klein en groot
hebben ervan genoten.Wat cultuur in de buurt, fijne wandelingen,en genieten aan het zwembad, 's avonds barbecue''n. Alles was aanwezig. Zelfs onze universiteit student heeft er kunnen studeren en is nog geslaagd ook.. Door de grote ruimte had ieder vrijheid en dat was fijn met zulke grote grpep.
Volgende zomer gaat het ons niet lukken om allen samen vakantie te nemen, maar als het ons lukt komen we zeker terug.
