The property is located in the village square of Saint-Denis. An 8-minute drive from Saint-Ambroix and also a 15-minute drive from Barjac. Old buildings, nice little streets. Within walking distance of swimming river Cèze with a beach for some sunbathing, reading or a fresh (morning) swim. Near the beach is a nice restaurant for lunch, dinner or just a drink. The village is located in the Gard in a quiet area but not isolated. Within no time you are at all the beautiful sights the Gard and the Ardèche have to offer. There is always something to do that suits you. The same property also houses gîte Anis, gîte Romarin and gîte Olive.

Wow, in 1 woord wow! Wat een mooie gîte en wat een fijn verblijf hebben we hier gehad. We zijn een paar dagen geweest en hebben de eerdere tips uit het gastenboek opgevolgd:

Wat een mooie gîte! Heerlijk met dakterras, we hebben genoten! Het was mooi weer en we hebben gezwommen in de Cèze en ook in de Ardèche. De gîte is super! Perfect en heel mooi ingericht. Wij komen graag een keer terug! Nu zijn we opgeladen voor een lange winter thuis in Zweden, en kunnen terugdenken op deze mooie dagen.

We hebben erg genoten van gîte Lavande en van de omgeving van Saint-Denis. Rust en drukte kun je hier prima afwisselen. Wat een leuke sfeer in de gîte en wat een mooi balkon om te genieten van de zwaluwen, duiven en de zonsondergang.
Restaurants, food & wine
Barjac (Gard) is 15 minutes away from the gite and has numerous restaurants and terraces. Every Friday there is a beautiful market in Barjac where you can buy delicious tapas, olives, cheeses, vegetables, bread and wines and other typical French products. In the Gard, there are many wine houses where you can taste and buy wine. But also on the many markets in the area, the wine houses are often represented. On every day of the week, you could visit a market.
Activities
The village of Saint-Denis is located in the Gard region and near the Ardèche. Between Barjac and Saint-Ambroix. There are many activities to do and sights to see. Beautiful cities like Nîmes, Avignon, Aubenas, Uzes, Arles, Montpellier are all in the region. Especially in the Ardèche, there is a lot to do like canoeing, cycling, climbing, walking and swimming in the rivers. The historical Pont du Gard (Roman aqueduct) is worth a visit but also the impressive Gorges de L'Ardèche are close by. There are beautiful caves to visit, also for the children a very nice outing. In the Cevennes, a nature reserve, you can go for excellent walks and for the cycling enthusiast, the Mont Ventoux or Mont Bouquet are in the region. Everything is possible in this area, beautiful cities, nice trips, culture or sports. But also those nice markets; every day there is a market somewhere like Barjac, Saint-Ambroix, Joyeuse, Uzès, too much to mention! Within walking distance of Gîtes NouLou is the Cèze river. You can swim, sunbathe, fish or relax under the trees. Ideal for children but also for adults. There are bicycles in the building that you may use.

Further remarks
Gîte Lavande by NouLou is located on the 2nd floor of the property. The entrance is through a coeur, via 2 staircases (there is no lift). The gîte has its own outside terrace with a sitting area, a dining set with parasol. You overlook the beautiful village and have a view towards the mountains. The terrace is completely private.
Adjacent to the terrace is a beautiful kitchen with all amenities.

Flat Lavande has airco/heating, we ask 7,50 extra per night.
