Gîte Pouget is located near the medieval village of Montréal du Gers in the north of the Gers. If you like peace and quiet, Pouget is the ideal destination, situated in the countryside between vineyards, fields and woods. It is an ideal starting point for walks, bicycle rides or visits to wineries, villages and other cultural attractions or just to relax in the thermal baths of Barbotan Les Thermes or the thermal baths of Castéra-Verduzan. In the evening, relax with a glass of wine and a BBQ. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Suitable for family with 4 children. All amenities available and even fiber internet

Gîte Pouget is surrounded by fields, vineyards and woods, 2 km from the village of Montréal du Gers.
The Gers is a very large department belonging to the region of Occitanie.
The département Gers is located west of Toulouse, in the heart of the historic region of Gascony. In the Middle Ages, this region was the frontier between the English base in Bordeaux and the French in Toulouse. This led to an abundance of fortified towns or bastides in this region.

Gascony is a gastronome's paradise, famous for its foie gras, confits and magret (duck breast). Fresh products from local farmers are available at the local markets every week. Every day there is a market in a neighbouring village. Excellent wines and armagnac are produced by the vineyards located throughout the area.

Cycling & hiking.
With its gently sloping hills, the region is great to explore by bike or on foot. If you want to explore this region by bike, you can find all the routes on Catena Cycling. You can also rent bikes in Montreal itself at Gascogne Bike Hire.

Villages & cities.
The most interesting villages nearby are Montréal, Fources, Larressingle and Mézin. Condom and Eauze are already slightly larger towns, but well worth a visit.
Auch is the capital of the Gers.
Bordeaux and Toulouse are of course also worth a day trip. In both cities you will find a range of sights and pleasant walks.
