Villa Aquamarin

Close to Narbonne and Mediterranean sea is this spacious detached villa, completely private. Villa Aquamarin is a beautiful holiday home for 2-8 people at the edge of a picturesque medieval village. From the house, the many terraces and beautiful garden you have wonderful panoramic views (east, south and west) of the valley with vineyards, wooded hills and the village of Montouliers ('mont des oliviers').
The villa stands on a large private plot (2600 m2) with lawn, pines, olive trees, cypresses, oleanders and all kinds of Mediterranean herbs. The house is modern, stylish and fully equipped with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Everything is there: from internet to hi-fi system, from washing machine to freezer, from dishwasher to espresso machine, and from barbecue to hammock. For electric charging, see below.
Above all, there is a large private pool (5x11 m) with roman walk-in steps. From the pool and the various terraces (with shaded areas) you have beautiful views of the valley.
Villa Aquamarin is highly recommended for nature+culture lovers, who love luxury, atmosphere and tranquillity. And the historic cities of Narbonne, Béziers, Carcassonne, Montpellier and the Mediterranean are nearby. The grocery ('epicerie') with restaurant in the village is 200 m walk. Large supermarkets and a choice of restaurants are 4 km away.
The rental price varies with the number of people, so a stay with 2-4 people is also attractive. Not for nothing do 1/3 of our guests come a 2nd or even 3rd time.

Attractively furnished spacious lounge and dining room (54 m2) with atrium, wood-burning stove, television*, DVD player with collection of French films and hifi stereo set with Spotify/Airplay/USB input. Wireless internet (WiFi). Bright interior with views of the garden and valley. Opening doors to several spacious terraces (15+30+20 m2) around the villa. There is always a terrace in the sun or shade. And then one of those lovely hammocks.

-> Four spacious cosy bedrooms, three of which have patio doors to the garden. There are 2 double beds 160x200 and 4 single beds 90x200, all with single duvets and fine mattresses. Extra cot 60x120 and high chair for baby/toddler.

Villa Aquamarin is fully equipped for 2-8 people (1 or 2 families) and comfortable in winter due to heating and insulation in all rooms. The living room has a separate wood-burning stove. Everything is cosy and comfortable: an ideal basis for a successful holiday in this fantastic Mediterranean setting.
Large swimming pool (5x11 m) with Roman steps, shallow part for small children, alarm system and underwater lighting. Around the pool is a large terrace with sunbeds (65 m2). From the house with several spacious (partly covered) terraces you have direct view of the pool.
The surrounding garden is enormously varied with various pines, cypresses, olive trees, oleanders, rosemary, agaves, roses and other flowering plants. You have plenty of privacy and beautiful panoramic views from the house or garden as far as Narbonne (25 km away). In the garden there are birds, butterflies, salamanders and in the evening you can hear the owl and nightingale from the valley. From the property you walk straight into the fields and forests with several hiking possibilities. The GR 78 and Compostella routes run 100 m past the property.
In the garden there is a stone barbecue and you can play jeu-de-boule on the grass. The tennis court in the village can be used free of charge.

Meanwhile, France has plenty of charging stations for electric driving along motorways, shopping centres and in the surrounding area. We are considering purchasing our own charging station in front of our house, but are still puzzling over the settlement, as we would rather not charge electricity costs separately.
The nearest charging station is in Argeliers, 4 km away. Apart from that, there are several others. Narbonne, for example, has 10+ charging stations within a 25 km drive. Good to combine with a visit to the city. All charging stations have fast chargers from 22.1 to 150 kW.
