Maison de Farine - Le Cave is a unique loft apartment in a lovely old stone house. This newly renovated apartment offers a bright space with an open concept kitchen/living/dining areas, 2 double bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms with modern fixtures, and 2 sleeping lofts (one single and one double - both with low head clearance). The private outdoor terrace/garden seats up to 12 people and provides access to the shared pool and additional terrace with dining area.

Roquebrun is a unique town, set in the Parc Natural Régional du Haut-Languedoc, offering many amenities that are cherished by the whole region. L'Orb river is very conducive to swimming, boating, and fishing. The town's botanical garden and surrounding rolling hills offer many opportunities for hiking and enjoying the stunning views of the winding river valley. The local shops, restaurants, and caves offer fresh, regional products that are happily enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
The town is well situated for exploration of the region of Occitanie (formerly Langeudoc-Roussillon) which offers many opportunities for sightseeing as the Cathars is rich in history, as is evident by the numerous medieval villages, abbeys, and castles. As the largest wine producing region in the world, there are many opportunities to experience the fruits of this beautiful land.

Wij waren een week in La Cave. Roquebrun is een charmant dorpje en het huis ligt er net buiten. Je loopt zo naar de bakker en de kleine supermarkt. Het heeft leuke restaurants en de rivier is heerlijk verfrissend. Het uitzicht vanaf de rivier en het dorp zijn adembenemend. De kanotocht is prachtig. Vanaf het huis lopen mooie wandelroutes de heuvel in. Deze plek is echt een aanrader. Het huis zelf is zoals je op de foto's ziet. Het bleef er lekker koel, zeker met de airco. Alles is netjes verzorgd en zeer comfortabel. Wel zijn er geen echte deuren maar schuifdeuren en gordijnen ter afscheiding .Dat maakt het huis wat gehorig. Het zwembad is heerlijk en wordt goed onderhouden.

Wij hebben een mooie week gehad in het huis van Karen. De Cave is een modern huis en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een aanrader. Roquebrun is een leuk plaatsje met een bakker op loopafstand.

We had a wonderful time in The Cave. Everything is there, of good quality and clean.
You are in walking distance of the lovely center of Roquebrun, without the passing by of tourists.
The gardener is a very lovely man, who takes really good care of the swimming pool.
Roquebrun gives you everything you need, lovely restaurants, bakery, nice ice cream and coffee.
We surely come back.
Restaurants, food & wine
Roquebrun has a few caves - the largest being Cave de Roquebrun, as well as a few restaurants and cafes, like Le Petit Nice, Cave St. Martin, Augerge Saint Hubert, La Naudech, and Le Tabac. Our local market runs once a week on Fridays and the small grocery is open 7 days a week.
The region is filled with local markets any day of the week. Our favourite is in St. Chinian where there are regular food markets, vide grenier, and wine tasting events.
Activities
Our town of Roquebrun (known as "Le Petit Nice") has a beautiful river that runs through it, providing easy access to swimming, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and more. Within a short drive you can reach numerous beaches along Mediterranean (40 min.) or the Les Gorges d'Héric (20 min.) for swimming, hiking, picnicking, etc.. The greater region offers many opportunities for sightseeing as the Cathars is rich in history, as is evident by the numerous medieval villages, abbeys, and castles.
