The house
The house was built in 2007 and is equipped with every comfort. There are two bedrooms with a double bed and two bedrooms with 2 single beds each. Three bedrooms on the ground floor and one in the tower (double). Two bathrooms, one with toilet. Separate toilet. Large living room (approx. 60 m2) with wood-burning stove, TV, DVD player, stereo. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, 5-burner gas hob with electric oven, large fridge/freezer. Scullery with washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room and kitchen open onto a lovely covered terrace (southwest facing) with fantastic views of the surrounding area. You have access to a heated 5 x 10 metre swimming pool. The house stands on 1.8 hectares of land. Carport with space for two cars. Electric car charging point 16 Amp (cost 25 cents per kWh).

The house is two kilometres from the village of Cazals. A nice and cosy village with a weekly market (Sunday), bar, restaurants, small supermarket, bakers, etc. The region is known for its many castles and caves with prehistoric drawings, underground rivers and lakes. The hilly landscape is perfect for hiking and cycling. The rivers (Dordogne and Lot) are suitable for canoeing, fishing and swimming. The region has many lovely villages and towns, often with authentic medieval centres. They offer excellent shopping, markets, culture, museums, churches and many other attractions.
And then, in the evening, enjoy the sunset on the terrace with a good glass of Cahors!

Het huis heeft alles wat nodig is voor een fijne vakantie. Het is compleet ingericht. We kwamen werkelijk niets te kort. Het contact met de beheerders is erg fijn. En het was netjes bij aankomst.
De omgeving is schitterend. Er is te veel om op te noemen. Erg leuk dat af en toe de reeën. Door de tuin liepen.
We hopen zeker nog eens terug te komen.

Heerlijke week gehad. Prachtig huis met alles erop en eraan. En ook op wat koudere avonden gezellig binnen gezeten. Omgeving ook schitterend dus voor herhaling vatbaar!

We hebben enorm genoten van het prachtige huis, met mooie inrichting.
Heerlijke terrassen met zon en voldoende schaduw. Fijn zwembad met goede ligbedden. Een prachtig uitzicht en rustige omgeving.
Restaurants, food & wine
There are many nice restaurants in the area where you can enjoy local dishes for a reasonable price. The wine of the area is Cahors, a firm, full-bodied red wine. There are many wine estates where you can buy this wine directly from the farmer.
