Mirandole

Just a short distance (2 km) from the pretty town of Martel, we came across Mirandole, a striking holiday home built in the local style. From its elevated position, Mirandole enjoys beautiful views towards Martel and beyond. In fact, the first owners loved the view so much that they designed the house to take full advantage of its great location.

Inside
On the ground floor are the bedrooms and bathrooms, while the open-plan living/dining room occupies the entire first floor. Here you will find French doors that highlight the views, the kitchen also incorporates a window seat. At one end of this spacious kitchen, sliding doors lead to the comfortable living room and to the inviting outdoor terrace, where 5 small steps lead to the adjacent pool and lower terrace, all positioned to make the most of the evening sun and the sun during the day. A sense of space and light has been created throughout the house with tiled floors, pastel-coloured walls in the bedrooms and a double-height ceiling in the living area. Modern bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas and underfloor heating ensure that the comforts of home are not forgotten....

On the first floor is a spacious open-plan living/dining room (TV, DVD, CD, wood-burning stove) with large patio doors opening onto the pool terrace. There is also a kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher) and cloakroom. On the second floor is a spacious mezzanine room with two single beds overlooking the living room.

Outside
Terrace by the pool. Built-in barbecue. Private parking area. Large grounds (0.5 hectares), woodland and garden. Private swimming pool (10m x 5m) with Roman corner steps. Your time will undoubtedly be spent by the pool and on the terrace, although the rest of the grounds also deserve exploration. The garden covers half an acre and is left largely 'au naturel'. To one side of the house runs a rural footpath that takes you past fields and meadows to the village of Baladou. It is one of the many walks that can be made in this area, as well as other sporting activities such as canoeing on the Dordogne River (5 km) and horse riding.
