The house
The gite at Domaine Les Roche is our guesthouse in the barn. It is suitable for a family with 2 young children. For older children or 2 couples, our house is more suitable. You can find our house by searching for six persons. Of course we also rent our house to 4 people. We then close 1 bedroom and give a discount on the 6-person rent. If you rent the gite or the house, there are no other people on the premises.
The gite consists of a large living/living kitchen with a cosy seating area. The kitchen has everything you need. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are next to each other and there is a bathroom with toilet upstairs.

Our domain is located very quietly on a cul-de-sac towards the Lot river. You can swim and sail in the Lot. In the middle of the vineyards, but near a very active village Prayssac and the city of Cahors is half an hour's drive away. You can cycle or walk straight from our house.

We love this area and return often. It’s a charming accommodation, style-fully furbished with the most lovely garden and swimming pool. Our dog loves his walks, there’s a river nearby which he never resists! And the view is gorgeous! The local village is a gem. Several decent resteraunts, good bakery and a fantastic fresh local produce market. And then there’s the Cahor wine….what’s not to like?

Dit prachtige huis in Frankrijk heeft alle charme en karakter die je zoekt voor een perfecte vakantie. De ruime tuin met een zwembad maakt het plaatje compleet. Het is een oase van rust. Wij voelde ons gelijk thuis. Ook heel leuk voor als je een hond wil meenemen. Echt een heerlijke plek. Een ideale plek om te ontspannen en te genieten van het Franse platteland. Een echt juweeltje!

Tijdens ons verblijf van 4 dagen genoten van de landelijke rust en de authentieke uitstraling van het huis. ‘Leven als een God in Frankrijk’ wordt hier werkelijkheid met alle faciliteiten die het huis biedt. De rust en de ruimte rondom het huis waren voor ons een verademing in ons drukke leven in Nederland, je bent hier echt even weg van alle dagelijkse beslommeringen. We hebben wat tochtjes gemaakt in de omgeving. Prayssac en het omliggende gebied heeft veel te bieden: rijke historie, adembenemende natuur en goede restaurants. Absolute aanrader!

Wine farms around our house and wine tasting and buying everywhere.
Activities
Our house is close to the Lot river where you can go boating and fishing. A village further on, you can rent a canoe. We are in the valley of the Lot between vineyards and several wineries where you can taste wine. We have a large garden with fruit trees where you can play football, badminton and table tennis. In the village Prayssac ( 5 km) there are many shops and terraces and some restaurants. In the vicinity there is a lot to see, beautiful medieval villages, castles and caves. The Dordogne with Sarlat and Domme are an hour's drive away. Bergerac airport is 1.5 hours away and Bergerac is also a nice village to visit. Near the town of Cahors ( half an hour) is a climbing park.

Our house has everything from blender to bread oven to pizza set.... you can use everything. There are many DVDs and books available.

We basically rent our house rather than the gite. If our house is not rented out, you can rent the gite. The gite is cheaper than the house, but only for rent after consultation. We never rent to more than one person, so you always have privacy. The gite is suitable for a family with 1 or 2 younger children and a dog. If you come with older children or with 4 adults, we rent the house and not the gite, please check our house on this site. The combination of house and gite is possible. Dogs are welcome, provided they are well-maintained, well-behaved and let out outside our grounds.
