The house
This spacious 2-bed flat is located on a 3-hectare estate belonging to Mas Can Galan. You have spectacular views of the Spanish mountains.
The flat faces south and has a spacious conservatory. The ground floor has a very cool living room with an open kitchen. The kitchen is spacious and very complete (incl. oven and dishwasher). The upper floor has a bedroom with a view from your bed (200 x 160). Also on this floor is your bathroom with shower and toilet.
Right next to your flat is the 9 x 4 metre heated swimming pool, which is also used by the permanent residents of Mas Can Galan estate.

Montferrer is a small village in the southernmost valley De Vallespir in France. Take the last exit before the Spanish border towards Ceret and Prats de Mollo La Preste. After Ceret, follow the signs for Prats de Mollo La Preste. After about 3 km after Arles sur Tech, you will see the exit Montferrer on your right. From here it is about 7 km. At the top, turn right in the direction of Corsavy. After about 350 metres you will see the sign Mas Can Galan on your left. The last 200 metres are on a dirt road to your cottage/apartment. Montferrer is situated at 800 metres altitude.

Activities
Mas Can Galan is located about 1 km (10 walking minutes) outside the village of Montferrer. The picturesque village has an old Romanesque church, a piscine municipal, a minigolf course and a communal garden with a bocce court. The village has a café where you can get your bread in the morning and have a nice coffee.
The flat is located on the southern slope of the French Pyrenees. You can walk directly from your flat into the mountains. If you want to hike longer or further, there are plenty of possibilities around the Canigu enb towards the Spanish border.
Swimming in the Mediterranean is possible in seaside resorts such as Argelès sur Mer or the beautiful Collioure. These seaside resorts are about 45 km from your cottage, (70 min drive). Ceret (30 min) is a beautiful artists' village with a great southern European market! The nearest supermarket is 20 minutes away, at the bottom of 'our' mountain in Arles-sur-Tech. For larger shops (Intermarche, Lidl or Carrefour) you can go to Ceret. You can make city trips from Montferrer to Perpignan (45 minutes), Barcelona (2 hours) or Girona (75 minutes) and Figueres (60 minutes).
If you want to swim in the river Tech, we know some nice spots by now.
In winter, we go skiing in Les Angles or Formiqueres (about 2 and a half hours' drive).

For stays longer than 2 weeks, a special rate is possible.
It is also possible to book the gite / flat for a few nights (min. 3 nights).
The daily rate is then 75 euros in low season and 100 euros in high season. Prices include final cleaning.
