The house
Fleur d'Elbe is a beautiful Quercy style house, beautifully renovated with a private pool on 2.5 hectares of land. So this is a private house with private pool. It has a summer deck so you can pull it over the pool in the evening then the temperature is maintained.

New air conditioning in the bedrooms, new sun loungers.
New mattresses and late 2021 new lounge sofas .
The house has a large lounge 45m2 with lovely old beams and beautiful old walls 'en pierre'. There is a satellite TV and a HIFI chain. There is a bathroom downstairs with shower and toilet.
You go with a beautiful wooden staircase to the first floor where the bedrooms are: 1 with a 2 double bed and 2 with 2 single beds.
Upstairs there is another bathroom with bath , sink and toilet . There is also a baby cot.
There is a large living kitchen with a real antique French large dining table,
There is a dishwasher, gas cooker, micro wave, kettle and everything that belongs in a good kitchen.
There is a large utility room with fridge, larger freezer, , washing machine, dryer, BBQ and storage shelves.
You can enjoy your breakfast on the adjoining terrace facing east so the morning sun.
There is also a very large terrace on south/west where you can eat and enjoy the evening sun.
The private pool is 12-5m with Roman stairs. No chlorine, but a saltwater system. There are 6 sunbeds, a large swing seat, pool table and chairs, parasols.
The house has no visible neighbours so you can swim as you like. There is a nice view over the valley.
From the property a footpath leads through the meadows and woods to Montaigu where you can buy delicious baguettes .
It is a lively village with a range of shops, an Intermarché, a doctor,dentist,pharmacy and a bank.
On Saturdays there is a traditional market. Here you will also find the "Syndicat d'ïniatives" (Tourist Office) where you can get lots of information about what to do in and around the area.
In Montaigu there is a beautiful large lake where you can swim and fish.
This beautiful "maison en pierres" has a gardener who takes care of the pool and garden .
Fleur d'Elbe looks very good.

SW france has a rolling landscape with the well-known sunflowers and arable farming and wine-growing. Vin de Cahors and Vin du Tsar are the local wines.
Fleur d'Elbe is just in the Tarn and Garonne border Lot and Garonne and the Lot so various markets, brocantes and summer festivals, terraces concerts etc.
Swimming:
2 beautiful swimming lakes, complete with sandy beach, are within 5 km of Fleur d 'Elbe .
Montcuq : Plan d'eau Saint-Sernin. With a sandy beach, pique-nique and playing field, ideal for a family outing. Surface area 4.3 ha. The restaurant that manages the lake is open in July and August during which time there is a lifeguard service from 14h to 19h.
Montaigu de Quercy : Base de Loisirs le Plan d'eau des Chênes, 82 150 Montaigu de Quercy, Sandy beach - shaded sites - pedal boats - various games for children and slides.

Wij hadden een droomvakantie in Fleur D'Elbe. Mooie rustige ligging aan de rand van het bos. Heel veel privacy. Goede ontvangst. Volledig huis met goede bedden. Lekker warm zwembad. Bovenop hadden we ook nog eens ongelooflijk prachtig weer. Wij komen terug.

Zeer warm welkom van vriendelijke eigenaars Francis en Janneke met lekkere wijnen. Een rustig gelegen genereus en zeer goed onderhouden vakantiewoning met veel privacy en omheind door bos. Via een paadje aan de rand van het bos wandel je gemakkelijk naar het dorp Montaigu-de-Quercy. Er is ook een grote tuin met prachtig zwembad en comfortabele ligstoelen en mooie parasols. De ganse vakantiewoning heeft een authentiek interieur. De kamers zijn zeer mooi en smaakvol ingericht. We voelden ons als thuis en zullen graag terugkomen.

Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft een prachtig zwembad
Ook dit jaar was alles weer uitstekend verzorgd met een hartelijke ontvangst >>> wijn en bloemen . Na een lange reis van 16 uur is dat heerlijk
We hebben hier dus al voor het tweede jaar een heerlijke vakantie gehad en verheugen ons al op volgend jaar
Susan en Paul bedankt voor jullie goede zorgen en we willen ook de eigenaar bedanken voor zijn flexibiliteit (bijboeken voor paar dagen)

SW france is known for its good "rich" cuisine with duck, goose, foie gras, lamb, pies
foie gras, lamb, nuts, cakes, it can not stop and many affordable restaurants and but also haute cuisine.
There are several possibilities to visit wine châteaux and to taste and buy the wines.
Delicious local markets to visit.
Activities
In Montaigu you can swim: there is a beautiful lake, there is a tennis court, you can fish, ride horses and go for lovely walks.
Montaigu has a local Saturday market and Montcuq a large Sunday market, idem in Roquecor.
Boat trip on the Lot: boats in French and Dutch: open from April to November; contact the tourist office in Fumel.
Beautiful rolling landscape, reminds of Tuscany, but greener. Varied stretches of land with vineyards, sunflowers, lavender, rapeseed, woods and meadows, here and there a little house.
There is a lot to do here in the summer, concerts, village festivals, etc.
